I was one of 5 white guys total at Southwest HS...She was THE WORLD to me, my pretend Queen LOL....I wrote rock lyrics on the bus to and from school...I had dudes passing my notebook around rapping to my songs. Which were mostly about dragons and knights etc lol...It was dope as hell! Even the bus driver had fun with it LOL

For the record no female rapper wanted a freestyle battle with Shante in the mid 80s to early 90s. After Big Mama Shante team requested a battle with Lyte but her team refused. Shante was raw and she would've murdered Lyte in a freestyle battle! Lyte was overall a better artist but she had ghostwriters like every other female artist!

Both of these young ladies was talented as hell I like how they did a battle so both of them could keep their careers popping and make money. Shante ended up doing something real professional. I don’t know what happened to Sparky, but she was my girl too.
