I made these 1cm round paper beads from a cereal box using many steps. This is not a one size fits all because cereal boxes have different weights. You will have to do a bit of calculations using the following steps.
Step 1:
Cut 1 cm triangle strips from your cereal box . Let the length of the strip be the length of your cereal box. Mine was 27.5 cm long.
Step 2:
Roll the strip and try to find the point at which the diameter of the rolled strip is also 1 cm. ( mine was at the 19,5 mark) This gave me a strip 1cm at the base/ 3mm at the tip and 19.5cm long. Let’s call this strip A
Step 3:
The length of strip A being 19,5cm, mark a point along the length of strip A about 2/3 it’s length away from the base of the strip.
Let me explain. The length of my strip was 19,5 cm. 2/3 of 19.5 is 13. After several attempts , I realized 12 cm away from the base of the strip was perfect for my paper. So you can use anywhere around 2/3 the length.
Let’s call this point B
Step 4:
Taper down your paper strip from point B to the tip of your paper strip. ( see video to better understand)
Now you have your strip and you are ready to roll.
