i've tried several round toe recipes, and they’ve looked and worked fine, but i’ve kept looking for one that's easier to remember. i'm going to try this one on the socks that i'm knitting now. you gave very clear and easy to see instructions, so i'm off to look at other videos that you've posted. thanks so much!

That's a fantastic tutorial, but I'd never put a knot in a sock. My feet are much too sensitive. An alternative would be to use a felting needle after weaving in the end to secure the end in place.

Thank you for this great tutorial. I have a question…I have 64 sts on my needles which leaves me 10.6, so how would you divide the remaining six? Thank you.

The needles are off the screen or at the very top half the time and difficult to see. It would be helpful to be back a bit or more centred in the video.

Great video! I’m super curious though, why aren’t all the decreases the same direction?
@KnittingHouseSquare
@KnittingHouseSquare 5 ай бұрын
Thanks! You definitely could switch it so that all of the decreases go the same way. I prefer the different decreases so that all of the decreases go towards the center of the foot. I find it more similar to the standard toe decreases where you work at SSK on the right side, and a K2T on the left side of the top and bottom.

I’m knitting DK socks (48 stitches - 24 stitches front & back). I was wondering if the pattern for DK be the same as for fingering. Thank you.

If you’re doing a 64 stitch toe then you go up to get the 66 stitches?
@KnittingHouseSquare
@KnittingHouseSquare 5 ай бұрын
Hi! It depends on how many stitches you start with. Depending on if you start with 64 or 66 stitches your setup row with the decreases will be different. A full written description can be found in the middle of page 1 in the PDF pattern download.

Hmm that is a great question - I haven’t tried it so I can’t say for sure - but I feel like if you worked it in reverse (and cast on 6 stitches to start) it should work - you may just have to find a way to hide the cast on edge
