I live in Spain and you always join roundabout by giving a way to any traffic on the roundabout, actually, you have a line before entering a roundabout that is saying you to give a way Of course mostly nobody will say anything to you if you decide to give a way to somebody entering roundabout, but its incorrect

Yes, I also often see Americans not signalling when leaving the roundabout. You should always signal right (in a right-hand traffic country) after the last entrance to the roundabout before your exit so that people entering the roundabout know that you're leaving it and don't have to wait for you.

because if someone is turning right and someone is turning left they don't have to use the same lane which would make the roundabout more busy

@@Isla_pm sometimes you go on the inner lane and when you want to leave the roundabout, there's a car to your right on the outer lane. And behind the car there's many more. This always makes me nervous. What do I do in this situation? Do I have to yield and wait for a clear passage or do they have to yield and let me pass? Busy roundabouts are scary, normal ones are fun

@@duomi1314 ik this was a year ago lol but have you found an answer? My guess is to just keep going around the roundabout to avoid clogging up traffic, then try again, in most scenarios there should be enough space to change lanes, if you use your indicator properly, other drivers in the outer lane can give you more space

@@duomi1314 first lane have priority over the second, second have priority over third and so on. If you move for the first or second exit (in case is positioned ahead) you should stay on first lane.. other than first or second exit you use other lanes. As a mention you can use second lane as well for the second exit but if you go for an exit that is positioned somewhere in the left side you don t use first lane. Regarding your specific question, you can wait if you don t block the traffic or you can do a circle until you get space. There may be different situations in which data mai change like being only 2 exits, one in the right side and the second to left.. there if you go to the second exit you go on the second lane. Sorry for my poor english Edit: If the roundabout has 2 lanes and the exit 2 lanes you don t need to wait or anything, you use the second lane of the exit…

This is normal in European countries, but I think it's forbidden in North America. In some European countries you're only allowed to exit the roundabout from the outside lane and from both lanes you can continue around the roundabout, but this varies from country to country.

So if you're in the inside lane, how tf are you supposed to switch to an outer lane to exit without changing lanes?

But on many roundabouts in EU there aren't any arrows painted on the road and it's just two lanes like in this video, and the video shows how you're supposed to drive in that case.
