Well this isn't exactly the video I had planned for today - there is something big behind the scenes that is being planned for Beethoven's 250th, but alas 2020 has been the year it has and things have been impossible to do. I've had a lot of people asking for a playlist of the videos without outros, so I put together a whole compilation of them for those who wish to listen to the more relaxing ones all in one sitting :D By the way, I'll be hanging out around Discord more these holidays, so if you want to come chat, join me here ♥ bit.ly/RousseauDiscord

I don't know if you read these comments or not. But I just have to say, thank you. This video has made such an impact on my life and my children's. I have 3 toddlers who are autistic and have struggled terribly with sleep issues. I noticed one of my daughters had a fascination with piano music and that's when I came across your channel. I put this video on every night at bedtime for them and they are actually sleeping through the night now. Their moods have improved, no more meltdowns, after 2 years of silence, my daughter is starting to actually say some words. All because they are actually able to sleep properly now. So thank you. I hope you make more of these long videos. My entire house loves them!

OMG my heart is melting! I have played piano since I was only about 5, but I never could afford lessons. I've had a keyboard since I was a kid, but it's rusty, and old. Tears rolling down my face as I listen to these glorious masterpieces. Why? Some of them I learned from Mrs. Prager, who charged $1 for my half-hour lesson. My final recital in 8th grade was Fifth Nocturne. Took lessons in college in my thirties, and worked hard on Moonlight Sonata. Heard and fell in love with Rondo alla Turca, and tried to master it myself, in my fifties. Today I am 74, and hearing these beloved melodies reminds me how truly blessed I have been to have this music in my life. My baby grand piano sits quietly, beckoning me by its presence to warm its keys, my music stowed inside its bench. Although I never performed as beautifully as this pianist, the joy of classical music has been a constant my entire life. And the tears stream on.

back in 5th grade my teacher would frequently turn on classical music for everyone to relax and study to. I hated it. I don't really know why, but every time I just wished she'd turn it off. It made me anxious and I just wanted to move my body, like a metronome I would try to tap the beat, or my own beat lol. I think it just instilled such relaxing emotion in me that I was scared I'd fall asleep in class or something, or maybe I was afraid people would think I liked it. No matter what then, 8 years later im now an aspiring pianist. Feels like forever ago.

In 3rd to 5th Grade, my teachers put on classical piano music in the background and I really loved it. Never knew the name of any of the music(I think some of them were in this video), but they were really relaxing to hear while doing activities, assignments, and breaks. The music was like our motivation to be at school. Then Middle school and onwards were just pretty depressing and boring.

I´m from Austria(near Germany) and always listened to English music bc German is not a very beautyful language to write pop songs but today I was very happy to know that some of these song have German titles and out there were some talented Germans and Austrians who wrote wonderful music. This video made me feel very proud of where I´m from and wich language I speak. Ich wünsche euch allen noch einen wundervollen Tag!(I hope you all have a wonderfful day!)

the thing is you can be from anywhere and still enjoy music. Music is the ONE and ONLY thing that can truly bring us together and unite us no matter where your from where your heading or what language you speak you can still enjoy the same music as someone else no matter who you are and it is truly magnificent how uniting music is. Even if we don't get along we can put aside our differences and listen to music it calms the body and speaks to the soul in a way words can describe I have been touched by music and blessed to have the ability to hear these beautiful songs and to let my soul be touched in a way it never has. some people dont have that luxury.

@@ferdinand8801 I know that music is one of the if maybe the ONLY thing that brings us together, wich is kinda sad, but it's not only music, it's art in general. Storys, poems, paintings, songs, everything in the art world has a meaning and everyone has something of it, in my opinion one of the greatest inventions of humans. But it's just a sad fact for me that German music these days is just not my taste, classic music from Austrian and German composers in the other hand is just music on the piano, and it's something that I like and proud of that these kind of places are popular and from my Country.

The artist played so beautifully. I'm the only one in my friend circle who listens to these pieces of absolute beauty. My friends think this is uncool. Little do they know how blessed we're to be able to enjoy such music.❤️❤️

I think you are very wise for your special taste of music. Some people cant appreciate or see things like we do. Everyone has a special taste to music and thinks of it in their own way but lets just relax and listen to these masterpieces and know, that we are one of the lucky ones who listen to this kind of music even though many hate it.

Back then I don't know what this feeling is that whenever I listen to classical music, I feel every positive mood in my body. That's just how I explained it back then. Now, I just learned why I love classical music so much is because my father always play these piano pieces since I was a baby and he said it helped me calm down or make me fall asleep. So now, Imma play classical music as well to my future children just to make them love classical music too.

@@alisiamcmahon6283 talent can speed up your piano progress but it isn't needed. Rousseaus interpretations are far better than anything I can play in propably the next 10 years but they aren't on concert level. He beats 99% of piano players but that 1% difference makes a concert pianist. the pieces he plays on this channel don't require talent just hard work starting piano from age 4-5-6-7 would do the trick if he started later its just playing propably 6-10 hours a day (not when he started but to be able to have such a huge repoirtoire) Pieces like mereaux etudes recuire talent this are pieces that maybe 100-200 people in the world out of billions can play.
