"A man is released from prison after 22 years. He tries to live a simple life as a farmer. At the same time, a technology company director is fighting a hostile takeover from a bigger corporation. Two different kind of journeys collide in a sudden way."
The lead actors of Routa film are Jouko Ahola and Samuli Vauramo. Ahola has had a very succesful career in international films. He was one of the key cast in Ridley Scott´s ”Kingdom of Heaven”, ”The Vikings” TV-series and played lead roles in Alvaro Brechner´s ”Mal día para pescar” and Werner Herzog´s ”The Invincible”. Vauramo is known from playing lead roles in several Finnish feature films and TV-series and he is well known from George Clooney´s ”The American” and the big budget Finnish war drama ”The Unknown Soldier”.
Other members of the film cast includes Ville Haapasalo, who is known especially from ”Peculiarities of the National Hunt” and ”The Cuckoo”, and Vesa Vierikko, who has done a long career with nearly 170 credits in films and television, these including the legendary Finnish war drama ”The Winter War”.
