I broke down in my semi at the leaning tower of Britten, the original owners son runs a mechanics shop there so I got to talk to him for a while. It was once the site of the largest truck stop in the country and it burned down. The tower was designed to lean like that and is designed to stand up straight if it were to start falling.

There are lots of neat things to check out in Amarillo, TX, & surrounding areas. One really neat spot is the Jack Sisemore RV Museum (free) located at an RV dealership. Super neat & definitely worth the trip. Also, there's the Amarillo Railroad Museum (only open limited days/hours, but also a great stop). The people at the museum love sharing info. There are also more quirky cool roadside attractions (just Google things to do/see in Amarillo, TX). There's a Quarterhorse Museum that's pretty neat as well.

Josh that opening shot with the tower leaning. I had to stop the video and imagine all the cool things a person could do with that. I can see why you used the locality as your opening. Here is one I thought of. Lean the camera so the tower looks vertical and the land looks slopped. Grab the fence post and lean with it. In the shot it would look as if the world is turning if using creative transitions. Pretty cool too.

First the Cadillac Ranch today is not in its original location. Property values caused the previous spot to be developed and the ranch was moved. I visited the original ranch in about 1990 and at that time people were not painting on the cars and some of them were still dripping oil. The "slug bug ranch," "Bug Ranch" or "Buggy Farm" is sort of a parody of the Cadillac Ranch, the building there was a trading post and when a big travel center open across the freeway they figured that if they could siphon off some travelers their gas station and the rattlesnake ranch could make it, they didn't but the Buggy Farm remained, all the bugs were originally, I'm told, a bright yellow. I think I read somewhere that the Crutchfield Family owned the entire premises, but where I was there in 2018 it had long been surrendered back to mother nature.
