A slip road leading from Holland Road and Commonwealth Road into Farrer Road and an adjoining road have been closed to traffic since Tuesday (15th November 2022) as workers repair a cave-in caused by tunnelling works. As this was an emergency repair work by PUB, it was closed off suddenly with no specified completion date. Eventually, the road works were completed by Sunday (20th November 2022) and buses no longer had to go through the long way around the diversion. This video showcases the route diversion of service 165, which other services plying along Farrer Rd had to take as well.
