Previously we made the Zarzalar hiking route and now on this occasion we visit Nerpio Pueblo where tranquility predominates, its streets adorned with different plants which makes nature feel at all times its beautiful park with several waterfalls and next to the Taibilla river.

It was territory belonging to the ancient Taifa of Murcia in Muslim times, it becomes the domain of the Crown of Castile, within the Kingdom of Murcia under the Treaty of Alcaraz in 1243, by the hand of the infant Don Alfonso, future Alfonso X the Wise.
In the Middle Ages the main population center was Taibilla, where the current Taibilla castle is located. The Commendation of Taibilla belonged to the Order of Santiago within the Kingdom of Murcia.
In 2017 it had 1,277 inhabitants according to official INE data.
