Hey! So happy to see that you're eating "gambas al ajillo"! I am from Spain, and yes, it's a typical dish here, but the ones you ate are a korean version I would say, they are not that spicy (at most we put a couple of small dried chilis and that's pretty much it), and when you cook them they are not reddish. They look tasty tho!
