Ive been followong this vlog and im glad to see youve overcome everything to get it to this point. It sounds like it was starving for fuel.

I too think it’s bcuz u got more break in even if u think ur done. The more the engine runs the better it should run. Use the method the last person said and do ur tune per his instructions.

If I was you by a new walbro. Buy a high velocity fuel line. Have new spark plugs ready, If there's gaskets between it take it out, and replace it with liguid gasket for closer squeeze for faster response, and use a bigger air filter. It should be fixed. If not than it must have a leak in the block some where.

I think it’s obvious that it isn’t tuned right but get a different pipe for it get a Taylor rc 71 cc pipe for a 5t it should fit your motor and chassis but do some reasearch and if you do the pipe it will make some good power

Change the plug. Lean the top end out till it bogs on acceleration (on stand) then start adding fuel on high needle until bog goes away and keep adding fuel until it rpm starts dropping then lean it back to peak rpm. What ratio fuel/oil are you running? Prolly not going to be a screamer in terms of rpm but it’s definitely not at its peak. Have you ever watched the obr tuning video? It’s on YT and a great place to start. Keep posting vids. Is the clutch carrier/clutch enclosure the same as a G320RC?
@c.perkins37343 жыл бұрын
thanks for the feedback and yes the clutch carrier is the same . im running about 28:1 on fuel mixture

it sounds lean when its idle bro my advice go to 32:1 i been for years it makes tunning easier i dont do 25:1 or 28 i use amsoil and redline racing oils i tried many times with 25:1 terrible my bro! took me all day to tune and it still ran like crap then i went to 40:1 it was night and day rpms high no more lean no more smoke no bogging just takes off

The engine is starving for fuel, on the low end and top end.
@nicholasemmert3073 жыл бұрын
And set the needles 1.5 and 1.5. Then it should be a little rich and move them an 1/8 turn in. If that don’t work try 1.75 and 1.75.
@charlesdrummond54723 жыл бұрын
Yo what up with that build bro did you give up
@charlesdrummond54723 жыл бұрын
Did you give up on the 71cc or rc all together what happened to your videos
@robertblunden5263 жыл бұрын
Low needs to be more rich and the high end to be but more lean as as to much fuel top end

Question would this 71cc engine fit in my rovan 290s 5b Baja buggy?
@Imperial_Wing3 жыл бұрын
Yes it will
@nicholasemmert3073 жыл бұрын
And those motors like to run a little rich cause fuel is energy and it’s better in the long run. Especially if you run it for long periods of time cause the heat of the motor will lean the settings.

What about a rovan 45cc do you mod them?
@KevinTPerformance3 жыл бұрын
@@technibumpinnovations7680 i have built a couple cylnder reeded rovan45s i just dont care for the qualaty of the cylinders and that you cant expect a long life of the engine like a zenoah. So the anwser is yes but not preferred

Wow that is the absolute worst tuning I’ve ever seen. First off you won’t get the rpms with a fresh engine. It has to be broke in and second of all your trying to tune it on a bench with your kid holding it down while your wide open on throttle. You can’t rev these engines like that on a fresh engine it has to be broken in before you even put a tune on it and has to be under a load not with it on a bench free wheeling. Your lucky A tire didn’t come apart and hit your kid in the face
