No one can replace Marie 😞

ROXETTE were my all time favourite band when i was growing up,it was sad when MARIE passed away from Cancer, this is fabulous news they are touring next year love this love you Roxette💯❤️

What great band, and like most of the 80's music still going better than ever. I remember seeing them in Sydney on their Joy ride tour what Concert, it's still lodged in my heart all these years later. So sad that Marie passed away what a Legend, it won't be the same without Her but at the same time I wish Per and them all the very best.

We saw Roxette when they last toured Australia back in 2016 and they were amazing. So very sad about Marie but it just isn't the same without her. I am sure the new tour will still be a blast.

I don't know how they can be Roxette without Marie, her voice was so integral.

Just for the record, Marie passed away on the 9th December 2019, not in 2016. She completely retired in 2016 due to her poor health, but she passed away 3 years later. Other than that, it was a great announcement and I'm so excited to see and hear this new setup. As a guy from the UK, I just hope they come to Europe too. Roxette forever! ❤🎸😎👍

This will be amazing! Lena is a sprakling performer and a great singer, and I just know that you'll love her as much as we here in Sweden do. :)

Marie was the best and is missed till today i agree but im anxious to hear the new lady with the old hits i grew up with Roxette thank you to the band an Per for the most excellent childhood memories

Amazing news! I met Roxette as a teenager in the Musiqueplus studios (the Québec Muchmusic) in 89 and Per and Marie were so, so gracious and approachable. I saw their Joyride concert 3 years later and love them to this day. So happy to hear the legend lives on!

I agree with per that Roxette legacy must be preserved.....Queen did exactly the same replacing Freddie Mercury...no surprises here...but I'm a bit suspicious about one thing. Why no mention at all to Helena Joseffson? No explanation on why she won't be in this tour....is she busy with her own band....or has she denied not to participate just because she feared fans reaction to using again the "Roxette" brand????.....it takes my sleep away...

Lena will have big shoes and vocals to fill... however I'm grateful Roxette are touring again. It'll be in memorium and honour for Marie! ❤❤❤

I know why Roxette are growing in popularity. Simply because Per has written such amazing iconic songs that still catches the younger audience today because they are timeless. Roxette is evergreen. Simple as that 🙂

To me the lead singer is the identity of the band, they are the voice, the front person without them its not the same, like Queen, Inxs Acdc etc

Roxette is back? Roxette will always be Marie, so its not back. Music is still there to listen to though.

Their last setlist was full of songs that were played to absolute death on the radio and I dont want to hear them. They have at least 50 amazing songs I wish they would play instead. My other unpopular opinion is Per Gessle was an equal if not bigger part of Roxette than Marie.

No offense to Per, but to me it comes across as a cash grab. I can understand that he's proud of what he's achieved (and he should be) and that he wants to keep the legacy alive, but going on tour under the Roxette name is irritating and smacks of something weird. Whenever he played solo shows, he played a few Roxette songs anyway because he wrote the stuff, but I guess the name “Per Gessle” doesn't sell that well, I guess. And besides, what happened to “PG Roxette”? I'm sorry, but it seems like he wants to milk the cash cow over and over again. Would Agneta and Björn hire two other people and tour as ABBA? I don't think so.
