Absolutely wonderful pieces of fabrics and book covers!! There is almost something sacred about holding books from the 1800's - knowing they have survived over 200 years-- unbelievable. I have managed to get my hands on a few of those types of books and now to convince myself it is ok to alter them.

Week 4 already! Can you believe it! Hoping to get mine done tomorrow. 🤞. The fun continues... ❤️

My weekend was fabulous! (another birthday) I heard from all my children and two siblings which is normal. We don’t watch much TV so i can’t help with ideas. We’ve seen The Book of Henry three times. (movie) It is so good! There’s swearing and sad bits but heartwarming.

Beautiful covers Rachel thank you for sharing. I love the Outlander series because I had read all the books first, though there are some rough episodes be warned. I have the answer to your "glue volcano" problem because it happened to me all the time. When I use fabri--whatever I squeeze some air out of the bottle before I turn it over and hold it. Then turn it over and when the glue gets to the nozzle just squeeze even harder for what you need. When you turn the bottle right side up and release it the vacuum you've created sucks the glue back down instead of letting it ooze out the top. Hope that helps. Wow what beautiful book covers you made Rachel! We have had a very mild winter here on Vancouver Island but we just had a little bit of snow fall on Sunday it was so beautiful when you don't have to go anywhere. We watched The Crown and we really enjoyed it also a Austrian show called Offspring was really good. We just finished watching the show Lupin and it was pretty good. My son Bailey, who is now almost 26 yrs old had a favorite cartoon you probably know. It was popular in the USA in the 90s but it’s from Australia! Bananas in pajamas. All my kids have B names. Bailey, Bradley and Breeana. So we always joke and call them B1, B2, and B3. I miss bananas in pajamas. It was a happy little show

FYI, if you first spay your InkJet printed paper with a spray figative (find at art stores) or even a matte acrylic spray (which you can do several sheets all at once), that will put a nonporous barrier over the top to protect the ink from smearing when you modge podge later. Better to do that than take your chances on smearing the ink on a final project, as then it's too late to recover or fix. FYI

I have two Victirian white gauze like dresses from 1800's. All those old books are really beautiful, and your digis match them so well. I'll have to order those digis to be able to try and create something as beautiful. Sorry can't tell of any Netflix watches, I don't have Netflix. My weekend was quite and restful at home.

Another great challenge thank you 😁 I was really happy with my packaging cover only the 2nd time I've made a journal cover 😜 I've lots of empty books so this is perfect. I'm watching stranger things with my daughter. It's a bit ET in era it's been fun as we have been talking about the fashion and the music plus it's a really good show. Eleanor used to love the winks,she had the videos and a couple of dolls. what is it a new series or a film. Funny as eleanor said the other day that she had rewatched all the old series 🤣 We had family day Sunday played games and watched Christopher Robin I was a blubbering wreak haha

sounds cold where you are it was 36degrees here in Christchurch, New Zealand which is 91 degrees in usa terms. been really enjoying your vids laterly and had a go at slow stitching a snippet roll.

Just bought some silicone brushes. A tip from me, the large silicone brush cleaners have about 7 different textures on them, make great stamps.

Wet your needle and thread it works for me on my sewing machine and doing slow stitch too. Enjoyed the video.

But OH MY...I would have traded my first born (IF I had one) for any of those book covers, plain and nakid just the way they were, esp. the grungy green and brown one, I was drooling!! I have never seen books like those, sigh. (my poor 'first born', I have lost track of how many times I have traded her off over the past couple of years 😂).

Hi Rachel yes heartland is a great family drama not smutty good clean TV drama . But if you like something a bit more adult content Mary Queen of Scots is a good drama with some hunky guys and bit of bedroom romps. Definitely not to watch with kids it is very good night time viewing and I do love the costumes and jewellery. Ĺove all the period dramas. Thanks for all your video's I really love watching them. Such beautiful papers you have love seeing them. xx

Beautiful! I love that writing in the spine. Too bad you couldn't separate it to save. Those antique fabrics are scrumptous! Honestly those marbled original covers are beautiful also. Are those papers maybe linen wall paper? or similar? I binged on Sweet Magnolia's.... it has drama, comedy, romance. but it is SO Good. I was surprised watching it bc I didn't really know what it was all about, but once I started I had a hard time stopping. LOL... I will say that some of their "southern accents were too fake or forced" but other than that, worth watching.... Excellent actors too. It is a family movie PG 13...

If you haven’t seen it, watch Enola Holmes. Also, The Heartland is a good show. Murder Mystery is a movie that is PG-13. Very funny. Have you watched any seasons of Stranger Things? Good show but bizarre.

You could cut the spine out and replace it and then you could have kept that text. Sorry to say that now after you have covered it. 🙁 They are beautiful covers for sure.

Hi Rachel, those covers look wonderful. I think I probably would not have covered the entire spine of that 1 book, just a part of it. Those fabrics are great. How did you call it? Polstry? I can't find the name here so maybe you can shiw me how to write it. I would live to make a bookcover with that sort of texture fabric. Great tip about those silicone make-up brushes, never heard of that before. That serie you mentioned is it wings or winx? Sounds interesting. Hope you let me know those 2 questions I got. Byebye
