A courageous story which highlights the struggle our elders endured to help us establish a foothold in Britain. ✊🏾

This subject is so little known, I grew up in the 60's but have never heard of this boycott, its not Black history, its everyone's history and we should all be aware of it. Its hard to believe that this level of open discrimination happened so recently, those that campaigned against it should be honoured. Racial hatred and prejudice must be fought and "education" in its widest definition is one way of doing it. This should be covered in school history lessons rather than ancient history about long forgotten and irrelevant Kings. I am a white male in his 60's and my attitudes towards race have changed significantly during my life and I put that down very much to "education" and life experiences.

Let us not forget that the Bristol Bus company was owned by the council and was not a private enterprise. It was so wrong for the government to encourage immigration when local governments were racist and refused to employ people. When racism comes from the top, people like those ignorant bus drivers follow. The hardship of coming here with little money and being unemployed at that time would have been horrendous.

It will never be fixed the sad thing is this man and his brothers blame it on their colour but it’s not their colour it’s their behaviour and their moral values they put people against them. They have no intention of changing their ways the way out of it is to say it’s because we have like that’s not true
