When people say Ronaldo's finished, they conveniently ignore that he is playing in probably the most dysfunctional United team of the last decade, in the hardest league in the world... and he's still winning games single-handedly, dragging his team through the finish line by willpower, determination and skill.

The premier League isn't the hardest league in the world. But it is definitely has a more exciting title race compared to most other leagues. As we can see, Bayern have a much harder time playing against Bundesliga teams than the biggest premier League teams.

Yes he's struggled like every united player the last few months and will likely continue to struggle despite this hattrick, but thats not only down to him, its down to the entire team as we dint even play well in this match despite the win. RR keeps changing the lineup in every game and experimenting. Not a single player has been brilliant under RR, apart from de gea, so please save your negativity for somewhere else.

Ronaldo had a hattrick but what about Maguire? Conte was a genius to pair him up with Harry Kane. Kane played as a decoy playing out passes while Maguire moved in between tight spaces. And the goal he scored,pure class. The timing,the positioning,the finishing. Absolute Legend!

Cristiano Ronaldo has CREATED MORE CHANCES, that's not a typo, than any other player in Champions League history. More than Messi and Mueller and Xavi and Iniesta and Ronaldinho. Ronaldo is a genius. If you actually watch him week to week he creates tons of chances this teammates squander. He's actually a better playmaker than anybody else on the team sans Pogba and Bruno and, in his prime he was an even better playmaker than either of them. Go look at the stats over his career. Haha I hadn't thought of that yet. I do feel for Messi though, you can tell he has lost a lot of pace and is forced to play deeper because he no longer has the physicality to reliably take players on like he used to as he's getting outpaced even by guys like Modric who is 36. Still a great player, but his goal scoring ability has declined because of his loss of pace and since he isn't a very physical player or an aerial threat he has no choice but to play deeper, which he has known for years now was going to inevitably happen as he got older.

@@usmanronaldo7 He must be used to it now, but it's different in Manchester. These clubs have a history and culture, and Ronaldo rose through these very ranks. I never saw Ronaldo get nervous during a game for Madrid or Juventus. Madrid was his peak where he really had nothing to fear, whilst in Juventus, he knew his legacy was far too great to be affected by the portion of their toxic fans (Juventus fans always pinpointed their UCL defeats on him even though he was the only one who scored a knockout goal for them until his last season). But on his debut against Newcastle, I could see that he was nervous as he walked out the tunnel, and he even admitted it after the match. After all, you don't want to disappoint the ones who love you the most. United fans have always treated him like a king, and he wants to live up to the expectations. This is a major problem going on with Messi and PSG right now. We know Messi's quality, absolute best. Yet, he is having an extremely poor season for them right now. Why? A player of his calibre who has been consistent for almost 2 decades just doesn't dip like that. It's all about the toxic environment of that club. There is no history or culture, it's just a money; a factory where the players are used to produce goods. I regularly watch Messi's matches since I'm an admirer of both, and he just doesn't seem happy at all. Doesn't chase loose balls, doesn't track back, doesn't put much effort, it's all about the irrelevance of that tiny league and club.

Ralf clearly was not comfortable responding to Cristiano performance. He tried to divert the credit to the team, when it was a big player turning up the guns. Also, the fact Cristiano embraced Conte, but gave a cold handshake to Ralf says it all.

He summed pretty well the problems at United - they get a goal, they sit back afraid to suffer one, then Maguire looks lost and opens his arms and they suffer a goal. This is what I complaint about the team having no intensity. Compare that to the way City and Liverpool play, constantly pressing, constantly making sure the other team doesn't have time to think what they are going to do. Meanwhile United plays like grannies going on the afternoon stroll, static, no aggression, minimal pressure, midfield rarely knows what to do with the ball, tons of wrong passes... The list goes on. Just see the difference between the players, whole team: 10 shots, 8 of them from Ronaldo, 6 on target, 5 from Ronaldo. I mean, 80% of the attempts come from Ronaldo. Makes me wonder what are the other strikers doing. Because this is not a case of "oh, only Ronaldo gets the chances", no, 10 shots is pretty low for a WHOLE TEAM. I think it just shows that Ronaldo tries a lot, the others... No so much. United should have more shots on goal, not just 10 and 8 of them coming from 1 player. It shows they have a low volume in attack. Again compare to the quantity Liverpool have in a game (for example) and it's a big difference, no wonder Salah, Jota and Mané sit in the top 4 Top Scorers in the Premier with 42 goals between them.

@@zirbto5749 Watch some more games, Ronaldo creates more chances then some of Utd midfielders. Plus is one of the few that presses the opposite defense properly. And if Ronaldo is going to be blamed for not holding the ball, then the midfielders are below average, since that's literally their job.
