In my opinion he's the best captain United's ever had we won't see his like again. His driving of his teammates and his will to win was unbelievable. Some people might not like him as a person and that's fine, but nobody can question what he brought to the club. The semifinal against Juventus in 1999 is a prime example he got booked and knew he was out of the final, that would've seen some players fold, but not Roy, he put on a masterclass of what being a captain meant and inspired us to get us through to the final, that speaks volumes for the guy.

Led United during a hugely successful period and embodied the success and standards, he has been punished for holding United to the highest possible standards!
