I agree but I also think the King is doing a fantastic job,, just because he is older it does not mean he is not capable of modernising the monarchy. He was talking about the environment and organic products decades before it became the "thing". He talked about ugly architecture and was ridiculed and mocked. He was also the first member of the RF to take a selfie way back in 2014!

They are not. The heartbeat of the Monarchy is a brave, humane, and cultured King, who continues to work flat out, for his Country, while fighting cancer. He has made a huge contribution to the UK with five decades of hard work and loyal service. William and Catherine will have their time, and will no doubt do an excellent job, in due course, but the current Monarch is a good man and a good King, and should not be disrespected.

@@katielou700 Personally I think we are incredibly lucky to have the truly fabulous and great King Charles as our monarch. Still waiting to see what William is going to do for the country though, 4 visits in 40 years and only one by Catherine isn't exactly a stellar record. He doesn't even support any local charities (unlike his father and uncle though as he also only supports one Welsh charity and none in Scotland we're in good company as far as being ignored goes, with a single exception ALL his charities are based in England, most in and around London) so I'm waiting to see exactly WHAT he is going to do for one, in fact for ANY, of the other countries he will be king of in due course because to date it isn't much.

Otherwise the royals had put him charities which have needed a new patron (after Prince Philip, the late Queen, Andrew's "retirement"...). Prince George seems like a lovely child, all three of Will and Kate's children just seem very sweet, well mannered, adorable and very close. I'm sure they have their moments, like all children do (and should, it's part of growing and learning) but I have seen no hint that any of the adorable trio are brats. - At least now I know never to bother reading anything this Elser chick writes. If all she can think to do is pick on a child, she is not someone who's thoughts I need to hear.

Elser frequently contradicts herself. A glowing article on the Princess of Wales will immediately be followed by unjustified criticism over nothing. Elser tries too hard to be funny and cute and ends up with sarcasm and snark. Not reliable.
