The Bhutanese army have had some active experience, pretty recently, during the 2003 Indian separatist rebel incursions into southern Bhutan. The previous King, after 10 years of trying to negotiate with the rebels to leave Bhutan in peace (They refused), so he gathered the royal army and some militia and decimated them. So trust me, the Bhutanese may be friendly, sweet and spiritual peoples. But are very capable of defending themselves.

A A It isn’t all about who’s got the best army, you know. And what can you expect from them? There are 400000 people in their country, their people are super peaceful, their gdp is a little over two billion dollar and most of all, they don’t need a slaughter machine.

This so called armed forces can be easily wiped out by any military power within hours. Their presence is a joke.

Orr Weisberg Thanks. At least the army has been safe guarding our fragile country for decades. In 2003, the Indian insurgents that live inside southern foothills of Bhutan which were grave danger to both India and Bhutan were dusted by Bhutan army within 3 days which even shocked Indian army and doubted Chinese help which wasn’t.

They are not the worst army they just lack military personnel and Defense budget so thats why they are easy to get invade by high ranking countries

The arm force is mainly to safe guard the boarders and people and help nation during disaster, not to go to war since we aren’t at war zone or sth like that mate
