This past weekend for Brennan's birthday, we decided to book a cruise to experience another new cruise line through Royal Caribbean on the Independence of the Seas! We arrived at the Port at 11:30am, and were able to board the ship by noon after dropping off our bags and parking. Our rooms weren't open until 1:30pm, so we took our time exploring the various levels of the ship and the various food and recreational offerings there were to look forward to. After having pizza from Sorrento's, we took our backpacks to the room where our luggage was delivered, and continued walking around the ship (and eating a lobster roll) as the weather arrived and the rain started. We spent the majority of the evening in the Royal Promenade while it rained mercilessly, and ended the day with (quite an extensive) dinner in the Dining Room.
