A short film on one of my favourite English links - Deal.
Host of two Open Championships, Deal fell off the rota due to some rather bad luck. Here, I tell the story of a former Championship venue and take a look at some of the wonderful holes that mean it is still a true championship test.

Loving the format! Must've been a lot of work to record and edit this. You've definitely gained a subscriber. I hope we get to see many more of the cool courses in the world of golf. If possible I'd love to see some more courses from the south and south west. Especially if you know of any "hidden gems" 😊 !

I have at school age, caddied for spare cash hundreds of times.In my mid forties I was an artisan for three years.Now 58 I walk the course for fitness early morning or evening.Trust me,it's up there with the best links courses you could possibly play .With Royal St Georges,and Princes within two miles of the course there is a lot of competition.But Deal as it's known, is superior in every way.The green complexes and the condition of the greens are fabulous.I would go as far to say,the greens are the best links greens in the UK.

Great stuff Sam. Keep them coming. I'm going to a wedding down that neck of the woods next summer and will check out Deal and the other big courses in the area.

Colin you’ll love them. Don’t forget Princes too (as well as the obvious). Unparalleled english coastal stretch for golf in such a small area

I have been lucky enough to visit some of the best links courses in the UK. I would rank RCP in the very top bracket. Course design, architecture, and condition are absolutely second to none IMO. It is a brute of a course and makes the Old course look like a pussy cat in terms of difficulty. A must play in my book.
