Thanks for this great video Peter! One of your most interesting I think, dealing with the British Royal Collection. As a big collector of Japanese Imari porcelain I have been interested in finding out what pieces are in the Japanese Imperial Collection. I can only imagine what fantastic items they must have. But haven't really been able to find much online, even in terms of pictures, maybe one or two pictures here and there. Perhaps this is a subject for a future video on the Japanese Imperial Collection. Not sure if it would rival that of the Chinese state collections. Greetings from South Africa.

You might want to follow up with a discussion of Qeen Mary's jade collection. Also, I think George IV designed some of the ormulu mounts.

So very horrible when Windsor Castle caught fire, what all the great houses fear. Love the story about the Prince Regent, later George IV, sent a straw man buyer to the Continent to buy things for him. My favorites are four huge flower ball vases with serpent handles in Buckingham Palace.
