Got a 150 70 18 scorpion trail 2 tire fitted on my stock wheel. No mods . But s you mentioned, 18s are hard to come by. Wouldn't know if switching to 17s make handling better 🤔

I read alot in forums that it does especially if 17s both front and rear with matching sized street rubber. For this bike, we will find out once i'm done with the conversion.
