I was a Royal Enfield rider in India, and Harley Davidson rider here in Canada now. Both these motorcycles are true legends. Great fun to ride and a pride to own. Of course there would be a difference between 500CC and 1800CC engines but in their own category both these have no match in terms of performance and ownership. Great stuff!! :)

Nice to see a Bullet being ridden on the proper side of the road. I have a 2013 B5 Bullet 500 bought new, with just over 22K miles on it. I converted it from EFI to an Amal carburetor and put an aftermarket exhaust on it. It now sounds and feels like a proper Bullet. I ride it around 55 mph, almost never above 60 mph, which leaves out riding on highways. I ride it mostly on rural country roads. I have no interest in speed. it's the look, sound, and feel I enjoy. I also have a 2006 Harley Sportster 1200L (last year of the carbureted Sportsters) I ride it for the same reasons, looks, sound, and feel. It will do well over 100 mph, but I have no interest in riding that fast. On the highway I stay in the right lane and ride around 65 mph. That keeps the rpms down and gives it a nice sound and very relaxed feel.

Sometimes it's not just about going fast,it's about feeling special, listening to the melodies of these kind of exhausts

brother you have arms of steel for sure! I own a RE Classic 350 and post 90kmph, the vibrations on the machine are crazy. But its the feel of the motor that let go everything.

I remember getting my first bike, a brand new 2014 Bullet 350, one of the mechanics (now my friend) started it up when it was still in the showroom and that sound, that thumping sound alone captured me. I am sold. It never gets old.

I belong to a middle class family I own a royal enfield my childhood dream of owning one which came true . Also i feel so safe and comfortable while riding which i lack in other segment bikes in this price segment. truly a legendary bike . In my childhood days when i go to school i see enfield police patrolling the thump was damm good . Even when u see it first time u can feel the pleasure one is getting while riding it.. but newer generation enfields have reduced their weight for a better mileage and one thing i get dissappointed is the thump which i needed isnt there anymore, cannot change exhaust also cause of the goverment norms in India.. Hope enfield should make their factory fitted exhaust silencer to sound a bit loud, people buy enfield to feel the sound the dug dug dug the thump it creates.

I first saw RE in Nepal back in 2012 and I just loved the sound. I ride old Harley's but dream of getting RE next year. I met I guy in Nepal who used RE as a cross country bike going 3000 miles to Russia and back and he told me he never had any major malfunction with it.

I got a harley fxdb streetbob with a twincam 96 motor and a royal enfield classic 500 and though they are worlds apart they have so many similarities its unreal. Both put a grin on my face. Wouldnt be without them. I suppose you could say royal enfield is to india what harley is to America. Such characterful and lively fun bikes.
