Leaving behind the bustling streets of Proddatur, we set our compasses towards Chitradurga, a historical gem nestled within the heart of Karnataka. With the Triumph Scrambler 400X in convoy, anticipation brews as we chart a course through rugged terrain and untamed landscapes.
As we venture deeper into the heartland of Karnataka, the allure of off-road exploration beckons. With unanimous agreement among our group, we veer off the beaten path, seeking to test the mettle of our trusty steeds amidst the untamed wilderness.
The Triumph Scrambler 400X, renowned for its versatility and off-road capabilities, proves its worth as we tackle rocky trails and dusty paths with confidence. Its agile handling and responsive throttle make light work of the challenging terrain, allowing us to navigate through the wilderness with ease.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, with its rugged build and sturdy frame, rises to the occasion as we traverse through uneven terrain and rocky outcrops. Its long-travel suspension and robust design instill a sense of confidence, as we push the boundaries of adventure on this off-road expedition.
Not to be outdone, the KTM 390 Adventure showcases its off-road prowess, devouring every obstacle with gusto. With its lightweight chassis and powerful engine, the 390 Adventure effortlessly conquers the trails, leaving a trail of dust in its wake.

This has been one of the best bike comparison I’ve watch for a long time. Just fantastic guys. This is exactly how most people would use these bikes, 80% road and 20% off road. They have all coped well, but I think there is only one true Adventure Bike. Let’s see.

All three of the bikes impress in this series, based purely on watching : that Himi seems to be the best allrounder. But those other two do really well, also. Great to see real on the road comparing, that is after all the reason for us to buy bikes. Good series!

what a fantastic series! Love the chat at the end, would be nice if you could do it in your next videos after every day riding, just a few thoughts after 300+ km, it would build up a good lot of opinions/emotions by the end of the series! These are the three bikes I am undecided with for a future purchase, but I'll probably be ending up with the Himalayan!

We are out on the Grand Canyon trip with Alex and the team again next February and your drone footage just made this real! I have already sorted my mini 4 pro (your fault!) and can't wait to get back out there!

You’ve made the right decision with the mini 4. I might upgrade my controller to the 4 as signal can be a issue sometimes with the 3 (no Ariel) but as you can see it really puts the place into perspective. Glad you liked the videos and you never know i might just be on the next one. 🏍️💨💨💨💨

This is such a great adventure. Wish I could be there too! One tip I have for extreme heat riding is to soak you base layer in cool water periodically and then keep your jacket zipped up to slow down evaporation. It will keep your core cooler, which will help everything else.

As much as it’s hot and I know I keep mentioning it but I prefer it to the cold weather. It’s nice to wear light clothings instead of big thick heavy gear 👍

Another great one Simon. Really enjoyed the commentary and camaraderie at the end. You obviously didn’t get time to shower! Lovely grubby smiling face. Interesting to see how well the RE performed off-road. Not sure the old one would have climbed that slope, especially with me on the back! Looking forward to seeing which bike you choose to ride on the last day (or which one is chosen for you?!). My guess is in this order. RE. Triumph and a long way off the KTM. Chris x

Hey Chris, glad you enjoyed it.. your right about the old Himalayan it definitely wouldn’t get up that rock. (It was steeper than it looked on camera) I’m not sure why the other 2 look so clean compared to me 😂. You’ll have to wait to see if your prediction if correct. Hope your keeping well buddy. Are you rinding this August with me back to the Himalayas on the new 450?

I've ridden all the North East quite a few times. We rode through and stayed in every state. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya. We rode it every year from 2013 to 2023. This is the first year we've missed it. It's an incredible place. I love it. Cheers. Alex

There all good bikes. I think it you want a good road bike then the Triump is a easy ride or the himi 450 for more off road riding

They have a rack each side, I’m unsure of the brand of bags, there a India made company. I’ve tried to google them but nothing comes up. They were already fitted when I got the bike.

When u turned that beer around to show the label u fuked a good series. Hope the sound was not altered. The trumpy sounds and looks better by a mile. And YES the short kick stand on the Enfield is too much. Who come up with that Peter Sellers. And who would join the orange brigade when u can get a CF Moto 40% cheaper, better colour options and their new twin 450 twin. A copy of MY T700. I want to buy my wife the 450, but she has her heart set on the Triumph. its a win both ways.

Thanks for the comment. I do think the CF moto 450 will do well. I’m Looking forward to giving one a try. I’ve not taken delivery of a himi 450 And found a solution for that side stand which will Resolve the biggest issue with the bike.

hi idk if ull reply but im 19yo rn and i've never driven a bike but yes i do have some money to buy something of 5 grands. ik itll sound dumb but shall i go with the new triumph scram 400x. can i a scrambler to tracks? does the wide handlebar and higher seat height kills the fun of leaning? height wont be an issue as im 6'2. but can u help? are scramblers equally fun?

Wages are decent in terms of PPP for India. That's what you get when the complete product is designed, built entirely with 💯 percent localisation. Great product at a great price. Pure value for money.

Glad you like it! I guess like any bike or vehicle it all comes down to how to ride it, we managed to get the miles down a lot less when we were on the throttle all the time. 🏍️💨💨💨💨
