The first service may seem intimidating or hard, but you can do it! Save yourself some hard earned American dollars and do it yourslef! This is an extended first service with a step-by-step style showing the tools, tire inflation, valve tappet adjustment, and oil change. It will work for the 2021, 2022, 2023, or 2024 RE #meteor350 #classic350 #hunter350 and the new #bullet350

Great over view for those wanting to do their own servicing which dealers charge silly money for what is a very simple process.. Just to add something that I've discovered servicing my 350 . If you also unplug that small grey connector at the back of the rocker cover it makes removing and refitting the cover way way easier. I also carefully removed that black mastic from the gasket and head so its not stuck on. Not leaked ever since as its only a splash fed area. Imo the glue is just to hold the gasket during manufacturing on the assembly line. New ones dont come with a little tube of mastic and its not in the Enfield spares catalogue So imo and Ive proven it . Its just not needed. Stuart Fillingham has also done this on his channel. But be careful you dont drop bits of mastic down the cam chain hole when pulling it off.. All the best guys. Lee

I learned in pilot training, there are procedures and there are techniques. Procedures are what must be done. Techniques are how we get them done. Because I am lazy, I came up with a technique that is more work initially but makes the job easier in the long run. Essentially during subsequent services. At 13:50 you tell him to leave the gasket in place. Instead, remove the little side plate and CAREFULLY remove the silicone at the semicircle. Set the gasket in its normal orientation onto your cardboard and spray the upper surface with 3M adhesive. #77 or 45 will do. Clean the mating surface on the valve cover and secure the gasket into the groove. Set it aside to dry while you adjust the valves. On reinstalling the cover DO NOT use any other sealant. You don’t need it. From now on the gasket will remain attached to the cover making reassembly far easier! Don’t forget the the little side plate over the semicircle. TDC has to be on the compression stroke. Your method could result in the crank being 180° out. Also the screwdriver method gets you close but there are marks on the cam that are far more precise. If you don’t have a 14mm Allen socket you can simply put the bike in 3rd or 4th gear and rotate the tire to rotate the engine. For Classic owners the seats are held in by two cross chassis bolts. Royal Enfield’s video shows not removing the 17mm plug. They simply remove the screen and drain from there. While doing this service it’s a good idea to lube any pivot points like the brake and clutch levers. 😊 One final note. The valves are quiet when they are too tight. It may sound better but it will lead to early demise of the valves. Loud valves are happy valves!

hi guys thought i was been clever ! had bike running in 1st gear brush cleaned then spray lubed then had a senior moment put on glove grabbed rag held loosely chain caught the rag yep you got it sprocket cut a quarter of my thumb off last week ! should no better after 50 years on motorcycles cheers guys

Haha good catch..that’s an oppsie I left in by mistake. It was actually just the fuel pump priming. I got scared but it was nothing ;)

lol…I think I just was cleaning up the bike a bit felt it was a step backward to take the seat off again.. so I guess I was a bit embarrassed lol.
