The Royal Military College of Canada was named the best international team 🥇 and finished second overall 🥈 amongst 15 participating countries at the 57th Annual Sandhurst Military Skills Competition!
Beginning in 1967 and held at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, the Sandhurst Military Skills Competition tests Officer Cadets’ military skills, physical endurance, and teamwork. It includes navigating across approximately 43 kilometers of difficult terrain and challenges related to weapons handling, rifle marksmanship, combat swim (in full gear), trauma care, first aid, problem solving, and leadership.
These results are a testament to the quality of the military training provided at the Royal Military College of Canada. Bravo Zulu to everyone who participated!

I’m a Canadian citizen and would volunteer if asked to but I’m just some city dude - with that being said I’m so damn proud to see these fellow Canadians represent us on the world stage. Yes our army is in rough shape with the recent revelations and SA reports, but we can get better. We can build a CAF that is truly diverse and representative of our modernized nation. We are the True North: Strong, Free, and Ascendant.

Why bother enforcing a standard that has no operational impact on effectiveness and standard?
@josephmonkele5992
@josephmonkele5992 26 күн бұрын
@ranishkA123 Aren't there multiple reasons for ordering soldiers to have short hair? Ok, the hand-to-hand combat & hair-pulling scenario might not be the most solid reason, but any soldier in the field who has long hair is probably going to get pretty greasy and itchy and foster a metropolis of bacteria in that hairdo that looks ridiculous with a beret on (looking at mullet guy). Long hair can also get caught in machinery and scalp you. Not to even mention the fact that short hair just looks way more professional and well-suited for a soldier.

Canada is soft. Military co-operation should have to be a must for all men coming out of post secondary studies as to help them in their lives about how to be a proper man. Discipline is the way to a well balanced individual in order to help society "to Be positive in all that situations that life might throw at men". When you have a base in being a well rounded person the rest is much easier to comprehend.

The sad truth of officer cadets is they are forced to sleep 5 hours per day, perform at their peak and get compensated $1000 per month by the Canadian Forces. Officer cadets are stuck in a 10 year contract with a starting salary of $50 k. They are obligated to serve in a war zone like Ukraine. While mercenaries get paid 2-3 times as much and have more liberties and options and just a 1 year contract.
