The common misconception amongst fans who don’t normally go to conventions is the event management companies pay talent to sign autographs as part of their appearance fees.

Matt, the story is very sad, if as you say that most people say you were in the wrong, have you thought that you actually are wrong? Also bryan, i dont know of you realise how bitter and twisted you always sound. All fans ask for is some appreciation, you are in the position that you are because of your hard work and the fans support, never forget that without the fans, you are nothing, you cant wrestle infront of no one, the business wouldnt work.

Myers thinks of himself as this grizzled vet who has done it all. Dude has never drawn a dime outside of the few weirdos who are blindly devoted to this show. $40 for you to scribble on a box is insane.

I see both sides on the autograph debate but 30-40 seems high imo when its not at a convention or something. But saying all that im not one to chase or really wamt signed stuff ao it is what it is

@@thefiggamehunt6946 I agree, not really a fan of Japanese wrestling (meaning I don't really follow it), but the show was fantastic. They stayed in the same hotel as me, they (wrestlers) were so nice and respectful, akayama in particular was fantastic. Some good shows at the sky dome, also had the show where Foley and Terry funk wrestled on (Foley and funk were awesome to deal with, Foley in particular was the nicest guy you will meet), and international showdown, Joe Vs Daniels Vs styles if i remember correctly.

@@thefiggamehunt6946 I think I did, I was front row for the noah show, so not sure if that was part of it or not. Morishima was great for a big lad. To see kobashi and misawa was awesome. Some great great shows in England around that time, Coventry and Doncaster had some fantastic shows. All the years I went to shows, the only people to ever ask money for an autograph were strom and fleisch (who by the way were awesome), but they got told where to go.litterly every single person I asked signed my programmes etc for free, and happy to do so, so many legends, they all knew without the fans they were nothing. Foley was great, I thanked him, and he said to me something along the lines of, no thank you, without the fans I'm nothing, such a humble guy, and funk was all I wanted him to be, just great. Flair on the other hand was a complete..........

Luv the show & have been listening since day 1 and understand your point about charging autos but trying to justify charging someone $40 for something that takes you 3 seconds when it takes a normal person a couple hours of work to earn $40 makes you guys sound ungrateful.

Guys - You're not wrong for charging for an autograph. Charging for an autograph is a good you're providing no different than selling any good/service. People are cheap and want everything for free nowadays or can't pay for things but still want them.
@csciacchitano
@csciacchitano Ай бұрын
I think it depends a lot on where people are coming from. I'm an author, and I have a signing scheduled next week - that's 100% free, and that's just the way it works with author signings. So I can understand if someone used to that kind of event is surprised that in other settings people have to pay for an autograph.
