Planning on going back next year but not sure anymore because I’m a smoker. I don’t mind not smoking around people but as a tourist at the resort am I unable to smoke at all? Anywhere? Balcony or outside on the street ?

Now you can only smoke on private premises, and hotels and beaches are not private. You can’t smoke there. Mexican law is one of the most restrictive in the world

Moon Place the Grand has smoking areas around the resort. Might want to try that one. I highly recommend it, luxury.

There are designated smoking areas on the property. But NOT on your balcony. I know because I own there. Terraces within the outside areas of each building....
