This episode of Extraordinary People features some of the UK's Silver Swans.
Our Silver Swans initiative has been developed for older learners so they, too, can take part in ballet classes. Whether you’re an experienced dancer, have briefly dabbled or are a complete novice, we welcome all older learners of any ability to try out Silver Swans classes.

Or Spain .I love my classes but dancing with people 30 and 40 years younger than one is sometimes a little much 😉

An excellent initiative! But I saw in my research that Dance Silver Swans is for adults 55 and older. What about adults starting at 20, 30, 40? Aren't the Grades and Vocationals teaching too heavy for these age groups? How can the adult dancer achieve the performance of a child and / or teenager?

Hi Thais, Although Silver Swans classes are designed for over 55s, there is no upper or lower age limit to be a swan! Many RAD teachers also offer adult classes for all ages, and can advise you on the best class for you. You can find your local RAD Teacher here: www.royalacademyofdance.org/classes/find-a-rad-teacher/
