The Emperor and Empress of Japan have viewed Japanese items which are part of the Royal Collection inside Buckingham Palace with the King, Queen and other senior members of the Royal Family.

@@koningklootzak7788I can’t comment on what is is you feel was stolen, but often countries like to have things of cultural significance in other countries- it’s great PR and hugely valuable for cultural exchange and mutual understanding. So just having things from elsewhere in the world isn’t always bad per se.

Princess Alexandra of Kent wasn't there either. It's no surprise, she's now old, she didn't appear at TTC either, so her absence has been expected ... but still I miss her. Wish Her Royal Highness happy days. She was the first British royal who visited Japan since WW2 and reconnected two royal families together.

@@aphaia07 I wasn't expecting to see her. She was at the memorial service for King Constantine a few months ago, but was in a wheelchair. She's still included as a working royal, but I suspect that is a courtesy only and we won't be seeing her out on engagements again. She was always a popular member of the team of working royals.

Quite different visit from last spring when the Pope invited some indigenous groups to the Vatican to view some of the ancient gifts. After that they demanded they be given back. They were told not to take photos in the vaults in the Vatican and they didn’t listen.
