Okay am I the only one who feels like this brings out Ace Attorney vibes but in festive Christmas style?

I'm spoiled because I'm invested with the story, but 12:33 is my favorite part of this chapter. Vampire and Brute's reactions though 😭😭😭😭😭😭.

When I played through the event (I got the First Class Ticket to proceed with the story and get the epilogue) I’ve noticed a few references to the Danganronpa Franchise. 🧸 There might be a couple of more that I missed, as there were also a good amount of references to Ace Attorney, Professor Layton, etc. You’re welcome to put down your thoughts on references you did see. 🎀 1) Crème Brûlée Cookie asking Linzer Cookie if they can both switch rooms. A body is discovered later in the morning. This can reference Trigger Happy Havoc’s 1st Trial, with Sayaka Maizono asking Makoto Naegi if they can both switch rooms. 2) A red herring is placed during the scene of the crime, with it being a candy cane ornament. This could reference the couple of times where something odd is placed by the blackened. An example would be Peko Pekoyama placing a yellow gummy in the crime scene to frame an unconscious Hiyoko Saionji with Mairihu Koizumi’s demise in Goodbye Despair’s 2nd Trial. 3) Crème Brûlée being labeled as the culprit initially, but was actually framed by Royal Bear Jelly. This could be based on how Tsumugi Shirogane basically framed Kaede Akamatsu for killing Rantaro Amami. Interestingly enough Crème Brûlée is a very talented pianist, just like Kaede. 4) Old Jolly actually being alive despite the events that occurred. This could allude to Kokichi Ouma pretending to be dead in V3 Killing Harmony’s 3rd Trial. Although this one is a bit of a stretch, and not too good of a scene to be considered a complete reference. 5) Linzer Cookie’s skill is labeled as, “The culprit is…you!” This is what’s said when the protagonist explains the truth gathered from the evidence given. Specifically Makoto Naegi’s line, as seen in Trigger Happy Havoc. 6) The strawberry jam (spoilers, actually cherry jam) is pink. Referencing the common theme of Danganronpa having pink blood. (Reference Founded by: jimmydeguzman7168) 7) The crime was committed on a train, referencing Chapter 0 in the game Raincode. I decided to mention this one as it’s made by the same developers of Danganronpa, with the same artstyle. (Reference Founded by: GreenMask-XRGM-27) 8) The fact that Royal Bear Jelly left a vital piece of evidence during the crime scene after attacking Old Jolly. This could reference to Kirumi leaving a piece of her glove after she killed Ryoma. Both the culprits have a service-based role, being a conductor and maid respectively. (Reference Founded by: batboychannel1893)

I just noticed something with the detective cookies. If they are Cheddar Cheese Cookie and Macaroni Cookie, do people call them Mac’n Cheese? I found this funny even if it wasn’t intentional

It was kinda a breather after the Icicle Yeti story, from tears to heartwarming to suspense and mysteries. Yet again, this story was great, thankfully nobody was hurt. Linzer and Crème Brûlée Cookie were pretty good characters, and I love their interaction at the end of this story. And honestly I feel bad for Royal Bear Jelly Cookie, surely it was an accident and Old Jolly isn't dead but he did unintentionally made things worse that caused a series of investigations and the accusation on Crème Brûlée Cookie. All this just to read Linzer Cookie's novel. I hope he isn't behind bars for the rest of the holidays.

Honestly, at first I thought it was Linzer Cookie who somehow did the deed and forgot about it or avoided it in the narrative somehow. As for when I knew the Conductor was the culprit, I honestly thought that he wanted to set up a murder mystery first his favorite novelist to crack. That would’ve been a little crazy. But glad Old Jolly’s alive and well. Otherwise we might not get a Christmas next year in the Cookie Kingdom, haha.

I really knew the train conductor is the culprit because I read,play or watch too many detective novels,movies,shows and games and when the crime scene is inside a train the culprit is mostly the train conductor.My reaction when I play,read or watch and if the crime scene is inside a train: Me:Train conductor,you are the CRIMINAL!

I called it. Royal Bear Jelly's moustache changed at "Nobody Move!" 1-7, wich would have been unnecesary to show unless it really meant something. The fact that he implied Creme brule cookie was the culprit and also that its quite obvious for the conductor of the train to be the culprit 💀

I thought since it was kingdom, Old Jolly was actually going to end up murdered like one of those christmas murder mystery party games, but he got off with being concussed, lol.(?) Cute event.

I was thinking Black Forest because his involvement with the dark enchantress to be honest but yeah I guess they wanted to sort of a plot twist so yeah and also kind of foreshadowing to be honest it was the conductor this whole time and after analyzing the evidence and as was basically fake staffs and all that we are kind of done with the store turns out old Jolly is okay so how does by the flag with the a happy holiday ending Epilogue: linzer cookie being an interview for her recent book, Kimberly basically playing concert, cheddar cheese and macaroni basically doing a buddy cops and the train conductor arrested to be honest overall I think this update was a nice little end year before the New Year's and whatever going to get wind Archer or something I would say the story is basically Murder on the Orient Express ( I said this as well as The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog really wanted to do something about wanting to do Tupac from the morning) play the latest entertaining at least unique and I do enjoy the ace actors of linzer cookie and creme brulee voice actors have done a pretty good job. say my only complaint I had is assuming you didn't buy the story or first class to experience the entirety of the story and as well as Epilogue being locked behind the first class ( also the decorations are locked behind that) by the way cheddar cheese and macaroni I will hopefully do you get added as playable characters at some point ( are there characters I wanted at some point would be Lord oyster Cookie, Abalone Cookie, smoked cheese and snowflake cookie (my 2024 predictions to be honest and cookies that I felt warm looking feeling more interesting to be honest) aside from the upkeep ( get a new cookies from Super epic to legendary depending on your luck) I would say 2023 has has been a Great year for Cookie Run Kingdom I do enjoy stuff like Slumbering Moon, the legends of the red dragon, a mermaid's tale and the Golden City are my favorite updates ( I would say the triple Cone cup mainly for its story as well as search for the most part it was a big kind of rigged at times) no I'm going to say what's going to happen next year would be I would say happy holidays everyone and I would say happy new year and what's to come in 2024

Thank you for uploading this, and including the epilogue! I’m free to play all the way and didn’t get to see it…! What I find entertaining is that, as Linzer Cookie noted, the events played out exactly like the novel. Royal Bear Jelly must’ve been trying to use the novel’s plot as a way to cover their tracks-which is pretty cool I think! Just…maybe not the best idea to do it when the author of that novel is on the train….?
