Lumbini has changed a lot since I first visited it in 1992. There was just a small shrine, the Ashoka pillar, the pond and an old buddhi tree. Then I had the whole place to myself for 3 days as there were hardly any tourists. And I was fortunate enough to be briefed by the archaeologist who participated in excavating lumbini. I remember him as basanta. Hope he is still around. Cheers.

Very good. i like this documentary. People know that Lord Buddha was born in Nepal. But the same people forget that Lord Buddha was born into Tharu ethnic community of Nepal. Yes the tharus are the descendants of Lord Buddha. We Nepalese should teach about Lord Buddha origin and Tharu people. We need to tell the world about Lord Buddha teachings. We need to spread Buddhism to the world.
