Really only 3 or so years of falling short on high expectations. Mid season changes if they remain out of a Wild Card? Yes, likely some player movement and personnel firing. But if they can pull it together with or without those changes and get to an ALDS, I don't think you're going to see Atkins or Shapiro being fired.

I love how the last 4 years have taught us 1) that pitchers will only throw Vladdy junk and he because wants to win the game with one swing he will swing out of the zone, and 2) Bo is streaky (and should probably hit before Vladdy), and yet we didn’t go out and get a left-handed power bat to protect Vladdy.

Vladdy has shown over the years that he is a sub parr player and a poorer leader.He cannot hit the fast ball,run the bases ,or play 1st consistantly.The best protection for Vlad is to trade him to another division.The only problem is the Jays would have to retain too large of a portion of his contract to make it worthwhile at this point.A half decent G/M would have moved him before season start,but everyone saw his poor base running cost the Jays their final out in the play offs.Plus before pre season he took the Jays to arbitration,W.T.F. It's hard to decide who to be more disappointed by Atkins or Vlad.Anyone who is still a Vladdy fan is just not paying attention.He is a second rung home run derby freak and not a consistant legitimate mlb player and unfortunately all the other g/Ms know.What the Jays should do is isolate him.Have him train with one hitting coach at a time and d/h only.Do not offer this clown another contract.

Brutal start of the season for the Jays averaging 3.47 runs a game so far. Maybe Bo and Vladdy can get it going, but this looks like it's going to be a long season right now.

0:12 that ball broke at the perfect time. When you see the seams spinning and the ball still hasn't broke, it's usually a good indicator of a hung curveball that's easy to hit, but it just broke *so freaking late.*

Man, Lugo is SO fun to watch. Dude throws like 8 different pitches, I think the only one he doesn't throw is a splitter. For us who love guessing the pitch during games he is the most fun pitcher to watch. Royals are serious this year!

I've seen dozens of guys go around less than Perez in the 4th who were still judged to have "swung" by the umps At least it didn't affect the outcome

rules are just stupid right now, didn't affect the game at all, but they review to see if Perez was hit by the pitch that he clearly swung at, but a check swing call can't be reversed lol

John Schneider is terrible... with bases open we pitch to Perez and Witt... puts IKF at 3rd and DS at 2B while Barger plays LF missed balls up the middle becauseDS is sub par fielder... sooooooo frustrating to watch

Schneider thinks he should sit on the bench.Consistant hitting makes the team leaders look bad.Im sure Turner will catch on soon.Remember Davis Schneider and all his homers in the stretch last year.They kept sitting him till he went cold like the rest of the team.Its a culture thing and Torontos management culture is propagating losing baseball.

Continued failure but more of the same. The Jays and leafs mirror the city, the province, the country. They’re like a Soviet in the PAST glorious USSR. They love monopolies, I mean where else in the world is there only one store to but your gin? Moscow 1956 is the answer. They plough on regardless of results, like a 5 year plan. They simple cannot adapt to changing circumstances; E.g. no runs or no goals. Management is slow to be changed out because it really doesn’t matter what the result.s are. There’s simply no competition in the local market. The only difference is that the Soviets used to fabricate “wins”, Toronto teams today cannot do that. But they can ignore losses.

Whose worse dollar for dollar.No one.But they are led by a funny fat smiling clown and all the seats at the circus are filled with let down fans.Who is to bame?I think it's the dopes who keep showing up to perpetuate this pathetic waste of talent.Stop making it too easy for them to make a living.If we had a less talented hungry team like Seattle and injected it with a couple of stars before playoffs we would have a contender.Dump Atkins,J.Schneider and Vladdy.Stop signing fat players at fat salaries.
