The Royals returned to Kauffman Stadium to open a homestand with a series against the Rangers. Brady Singer turned in a quality start, surrendering just 1 run over 6.0 innings of work with 8 strikeouts. Hunter Renfroe tied the game with his third home run of the season and the game remained tied until the 7th inning. RBI singles from Kyle Isbel, Bobby Witt Jr., and Vinnie Pasquantino gave the Royals the lead and Salvador Perez broke the game open with a no-doubt three-run homer sending The K into bedlam. John Schreiber, Angel Zerpa, and Colin Selby each tossed scoreless innings to secure the win. -----------

I was at the game. The whole stadium was amped up. It was probably the loudest that I heard kauffman stadium in years after salvy hit his homerun. Go Royals.

Keep it going Royals. I know it is early, but fun start to the season. Great game against the champs tonight! I'm excited about this pitching core. It looks like the division is going to be tough with the likes of Cleveland, Detroit and red hot Minnesota, but it's been a great and fun start. Is anyone else glad to see Salvy play first base too? It seems like he has less wear and tear now on his body.
