Royal Shakespeare Company - The Winter's Tale, Act 1 Scene 2 - stage scene - NY
This scene is labelled 'Scene 1' because in that production this was played as the first scene. In the RSC edition of the original play it appears as Act 1, Scene 2.

This Act 1 Scene 2 - one might assume the Royal Shakespeare would know that kind of thing.

You’re right. They probably cut scene 1, hence the confusion.

Just checked this, with the standard edition we use (william-shakespeare-complete-works-second-edition-hb) and you are correct. It can vary a lot depending on the edition. Probably in this case the play was edited for the production to turn scenes 1 and 2 into a single scene. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll re-label the video to be clear.
