I think the video would have been better if you didn’t accept the upgrades and focused on what the average experience would have been. To much focus on the diamond club amenities. Would have loved to see the buffets . Love your videos keep up the good work

I just literally returned from this resort and it’s one of the few resorts that I’ll be returning to. The food was actually pretty good, Hunter steakhouse wasn’t too bad. I found the Italian food at grazi’s to be below average, but I do recommend anyone looking to go to Punta Cana to try this resort.

@@Aquariuslife206 diamond club really isn’t worth it. For all that they do you can do yourself, especially making your own reservations. People we met there had upgraded to diamond club but felt that they just threw away their money.

Been to this resort twice. We are going again next Feb. The food is amazing at the steak house. Not really sure why he didnt like the food, we loved it expecially the steak house. You want two ribeyes, get two!!!! The shows and entertainment is above most resorts. Super clean resort and the drinks are all very good. The casino was not open on the 2nd trip which was a bummer. The service was always outstanding and id give this resort a 9 of 10. The thing that brings us back though is the upfront beach rooms. Thats right, one of the only resorts that is never far from the beach when it comes to your room. The others you have to take a tram train to get to it unless you upgrade and hope they have rooms to get. Book here with real confidence......The guy in this video got the room i wanted!!!! Jealous.....And one more thing..Best drink/shot for us was called "Shit in the grass shot" And the Sammy sosa was great as well.

We just got back from the Royalton. Used this video for a lot of reference. The "luxury" room was fairly basic. Very long waits at the restaurants, not worth it but the buffet was fantastic for breakfast lunch and supper. Beach was fantastic. Main pool seems a little small and lacks a party atmosphere. Don't do the buggy ride excursion - same trail with 5 other buggy tour companies sharing the same road. Save your seat at the beach before 8am. Evening shows were really good. We had a great time. Diamond upgrade not necessary.

Splash is the best part of Royalton. Splash main pool is the party u missed every day. Too bad. Great channel for single ppl. No kids. Need a channel like this for families

Welcome to the Channel bob. In punta Cana? That depends what you are looking for... For energy and Action, riu Republica is a can't miss. You'll probably be very interested in the nest two properties if you desire an uptick in luxury from riu republica. I'm headed to the majestic properties...

Very informative mate and kinda takes this place out of the game ,as a couple travelling the last thing we would accept is being told you cannot go here or there and I don’t care what it costs for a perfect hotel but add to that kids and poor food it’s a no . My wife and I just spent the last week at splash there enjoyed both sides of the resort... I do enjoy water slides though... the staff was great... But we were thinking of going to hide away next time, to get that relief from kids

Agree with you. I stayed there in August. The place is real nice but the food was so so. The buffet was the best choice. Also my room was the closest to the lobby and buffet so walking to the pool and beach was a hell of a walk. When you finish with the hotels will you give us your top list?

Another great video. You didn't mention the water park, at all. I didn't stay here but the scuba excursion I did was based here so I spent a day on the property, the water slides looked fun.

I just returned from this resort. I stayed in the hideaway section. The property is beautiful but the resort suffers from bad management. The food is not only bad but it was astounding how they were out of things like butter most of the time. One day at a buffet they had soup but no spoons. There is no evidence of any managers at any of the restaurants. The food at the buffets was always room temperature. They just had it out in serving dishes mostly, no steam tables. We learned to avoid the buffets and eat at the Dorado for breakfast and lunch. If you want a hot breakfast order an omelet. Ala Carte restaurants are all first come first serve unless you are a diamond club member. They can make reservations. So you have to get there way early to get in and not be given a time 2 hours later. The beach was beautiful. This place has a slew of other problems that are just inexcusable. Saying all that, I could ignore it all if the beach experience was better but it's awful and it has NOTHING to do with this resort. It has to do with the seaweed. There were several days where I did not go in the water. That killed it for me. James is spot on about the kids taking over the place and most of them are really young. Its going to take a while for me to want to go back to the islands and I'll probably never do a family club again.

Me and my family were their at the Royalton Bavaro in November. Beautiful grounds and lots to do for a family. The food was okay, could be better. But over all, we had a great time.

this is because of Marriot! The food used to be the best in the business. The Riviera Cancun staff Told us Marriot did major cost cutting and thats why the quality is so low compared to before. It used to be AMAZING!!

I agree with you on this place, food looked unappetizing just piece of meat on a tray, nothing else...weird how you couldnt access all the pools. So...... the words family or kids aren't found once on their home page. If you know or follow Marriott , then you are savvy to Autograph Collection properties - i certainly wouldn't describe them as, or expect them to be, kid or family-first experiences. Here's the description of the property ripped right from their homepage. Based on that, it's safe to assume Splash would be the kid section. I stayed at this resort actually I’m just back home 2 days now. I upgraded to diamond club unfortunately I didn’t get the room he showed and I stayed in the hideaway and it was run down like old. The service was horrible and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. The food was good tho but if your looking for service you WONT find it at this Resort. Save your money and go somewhere better. Unless you wanna be checked into dirty rooms like me and many others were and there excuses were resort under new management and short on housekeepers. The beach had seaweed and a drop to get into the water on the hideaway side. If your traveling with aging Parents it’s difficult to access the beach. The butler’s only make Resturant reservations and nothing more. No turn down service. No towels no toilet paper when I called to complain I waited 2 hours for toilet paper and towels. The adult section is tiny. All restaurants are shared with the children. Small beach section for adults. Cigarettes smoking and vapors all over CBD WEED. If you like no service go there

Food always falls short at most of these resorts cause it's a 3rd world country.. DR, Mexico, Jamaica... unless.... that is unless you go to a expensive 5.5 star resort that is $2,000 or more per person for 5 days. Main thing about these 4 and 5 star resorts that people go to is the Beach.. and Atmosphere of the Resort.. 2nd thing is the pool and activities.. Finally, you want a clean room.. no one wants a bug and dirty room in any of these resorts.. but you want it to be clean so you can sleep well.. but 80% of your stay when you're awake will not be in the room, it will be at the beach or pool or off resort excursion.. same with going on a cruise. Finally the food.. yes we all want great food.. but these resorts have good good or decent.. it's suppose to fill you up... and yes Drinks.. people want good drinks.. the drinks are all inclusive.. if you don't get a strong drink.. get a shot and combine it.!

great video. unfortunately you werent able to experience Royalton before they became marriot. Marriot has Brought the brand way downhill. the food and the quality are 50% of what they were under blue diamond. We used to love royalton and even got Married with Royalton resorts. ever since marriot they are terrible. Whats crazy is they are still better than most resorts but not even close to the quality of dining, drinks and service that it used to be...

Yes James you are absolutely right about it being an overall BORING hotel!! My friend and i stayed here and we were bored to death after 2 days. The nightclub there is pathetic, kids running in and out of the club and no one did anything about it! Unforgivable! Where are the parents at letting these brats run around late at night? And yes, the kids woke me up a few times as well so NO I will not be returning to this place ever again!

This is the problem with resorts in Punta Cana . ...The food is not the greatest but the buffet is just ok ..We all know the beach there is beautiful , soft sand , blue water and palm trees everywhere ...The resorts and people that work there are not up to par ..lacking big time ..I stayed at the Royalton Cancun and the food etc was excellent but the beach was ok not great like in Punta Cana . I am going to Royalton Splash Riveria Maya next week and I will give a honest review ..

I visited this resort expecting it to be more upscale than other average resorts, but it's just mediocre like any other. You might get lucky with a room in the front, but if you end up with one in the back, the view isn't great, and you can smell food from the employee restaurant as soon as you open the balcony. The rooms aren't cleaned very well; I doubt they ever use bleach around the toilet. The food is mediocre; there aren't many good options for breakfast and lunch, but dinner is slightly better.

Just don't there worst Hotel ever, from roaches in the rooms, to disrespectful management and no AC in the hotel and rooms for 3 days without explanation or willingness to help the customer, mold in the rooms, extremelly dirty bathrooms, and the list goes on. Worst vacation of my life
