well this took a biiiiiiiiiiiitt longer than expected.. still! Very happy with it lol. I basically found this song, got inspired, and then decided to make it into an anime opening for my agents.

This came to me right before I noticed the part where it shows the 4 agents at their best and worst side by side, the lyrics sung just before that part roughly translate to "1 times 4 is somehow still less than 0". And I find that... absolutely SAD.

It also adds up to the Splatoon Manga since the 4 main characters Goggles, Headphones, Specs and Bobble had to face their shadows, which had opposite emotions to their actual selves! Goggles who was silly and stupid had to face off a smart version of himself!

I’ve actually been thinking about this, and I have a few ideas! One: when three goes into Octo Valley, they should see future 8, maybe see that they aren’t all enemies/brainwashed and Save 8. Two: Post credit: 8 meets a sanitized Octo thus introducing OE. Three, if there would be a Spl2 movie, they should call back to that moment during the Sanitized 3 fight, and say something like: “You saved me before, my turn to save you”

The one thing I want the most out of any story mode is just to see an agent (especially Captain 3) who isn't being controlled by the player just go completely off the rails and start annihilating anything that stands in their way. I mean all four of the agents are canonically absolute forces of nature that can take out whole armies solo, I want to see some of that without the player's control.

I mean… technically we see that with the Agent 3 battle in the Octo Expansion… But I totally get what you mean! To see what these characters can do without the player controlling them through an animated cartoon or a movie would be so fricken cool!

found this like less than 2 days ago and i think ive watched it 20 times by now. the attention to detail is astounding. the unique designs, the implications in each scene, the way the personalities are so clear through the posing, it makes me want to learn about these characters so much struggling like hell trying to get into animating for the first time so playing something like this on repeat is motivating in some weird way. thanks for sharing your work.
