Saints Row 3 is a better Saints Row game than Saints Row 4 but there’s still problems with it. The Boss’s Character development is terrible. They gave Gat a shit send off and had to retcon his death. Removed the best features from the last two games. The story isn’t dark enough and more like a parody of itself. I don’t think Saints Row 3 is a bad game but it isn’t a great game either. It’s good. But it is a bad Saints Row game and led to the series downfall.

Although SR3 is my favorite, I think it's best for the franchise for SR5 to be more like the first two games.

Long time SR fan. I played the series since the year after the first game came out... Saying this, 4 and 3 are my favorite SR games. I love the original 2, but the game play and structure of 3 and 4 are more fun for me to play and replay. Im a bit tired of gatekeeping fans.

My first saints row was sr2 but i still loved sr3 for being so funny and crazy but i also was 12 when i played it so maybe that has something to do with it.

Saints row 2 is a very interesting down to earth story it's amazing and great...and Saints Row 3 is what happens when you mix Heroin, Coke,and Meth together while sky diving off a blimp while riding a bull elephant in heat while shooting stripper ninjas with acid filled squirt guns...just saying the 3rd was fun and that matters in a video game

The thing in saints row 3 to is that you weren't up against 3 gangs like in saints row 1 and 2 you were up against 3 gangs that became 1 who had a centralised command structure because the boss from each of those gangs were on the board but they kept their individual identities of dress and style and is that fact that gave saints row 3 a different feeling form the other 2 which is also why it played a little differently from saints row 1 and 2

Idc what anyone says, i loved sr3. It was the first one I played. There’s things that i dont like about it like the unrealistic brutes 🥴 but it good. Sr2 is my favorite tho. Also the story line was sooo short in this game. I was crestfallen when i saw it was over.

IMO the three biggest mistakes Sr3 made were: 1. Killing Loren waaaay to early 2. Substituting missions with forced side activities 3. "Killing" Gat

SR3 is pretty overrated and disappointing to older fans on a lot of levels it doesn't deliver on. Almost a rip off. The reviews just praise the dildo bat as the best thing to the series but as a game it sucks. Objectively, if not just very meh and overrated by new fans and casuals. Its campaign is the shortest in the series, and even worse when you take out the activities, the 3 minute max mission lengths, and how you get barely any challenge gameplay wise from it. Why? You get 3 Bosses that are just QTE events, and the most built up Boss from the opening gets a mission that can be beaten in under 2 minutes max and he does in a cutscene, you don't even fight him. The other two bosses again are also just QTE fights mostly. You also get sent to the same places multiple times a lot, locations that you can't interact with at all outside the story. Its campaign unlike the last game is boringly linear, too short and none of the moments supposed to tell the story are fulfilling at all until the climax of fighting Cyrus in the alternate ending. The story also pretty much screws over Shaundi and still makes her a damsel in distress despite her trying to apparently be the gung-ho tough one now. The story also doesn't feel consistent with the theme, if the Saints wanted to be celebrities or not and there wasn't really anything gangster about it. Steelport itself also sucks, because all the peds are the same everywhere, and they don't do anything. Everywhere looks generally the same and there is no imagination or comedic realism anywhere that Stilwater had in SR2.

I love sr3 especially the flashlight modifications on all guns hot babes cool cars love customizing any car I can find did I mention hot chick 🤙🤙🤙😎🤘✌❤

Saints Row The Third undoubtedly is flawed in some areas. The story is weaker and the finalized intrigue of the map's substance is underwhelming compared to the other games, but I do love the game still. It introduced aspects to the franchise I do enjoy, such as the QTE events (which objectively can get people annoyed due to their repetitious nature, me included) and the new flavor of gangs we got, despite their lack of lore. Sure, the unique elements of the game are very limited by Saints Row 2 standards, but I do enjoy that it was something a little different. If more development could have gone into this, then I think the game would have been much better. Mission replay is definitely something that should have been made available. There's a lot of lessons this game could've learned in the previous title, but I can tolerate it, even if there are displeasing elements in between. And yes, I know mods exist to bring back certain elements, but we're talking about the base game of course.

And agree with the cut screen viewer. I was just watching scenes from sr2 on the tv in one of the cribs. The best crib in 3 is the HQ.

An apt description for many aspects of SR3 is "It's like SR2, but less".

Tbh i feel like this game needed a total upgrade but i was raised right next to this game so i dearly enjoy it but SR1 and SR2 or way more better

I always figured the game took place years after sr2 at least 2 at most 4 and in that period all the main characters got closer, but yeah the boss should have had more grief for gat.

My favorite crypt is the penthouse, it's a part of the overworld, has storymission and a pool. I just wished you could upgrade it like the fortresses from the syndicate

If you've never played the previous games then yes Saints Row 3 is amazing. However if you have played SR1 and 2 you get a VERY different experience since SR3 is pretty much a completely different game in style and concept. Not only that, but they downgraded pretty much everything from SR2 to 3 the customization, world, level design, content, writing, activities all of that was thousand times better in SR2. Even though SR3 is a disappointing sequel I'd still say it's a pretty good game, that's my view atleast.

What is the title of that funky music at the beginning.

I play SR3 remaster right now, and i like it the same like in past. But it's still feel like a little unfinished game. For example, when you steal hos from ship with zimos (famous mission), and put them into the truck, the mission just end, and you teleport to the base. It's feel like volition don't add the final pursuit episode, where you go to base on truck and other gang shoots in you (kinda like mad max :) And there alot of moment, where cut scene just end with cool music and end screen with autority, but it's feel like we don't get final, which should make story whole, instead of bunch of missions. Yeah, gta and mafia 1-2 use the same method, but it is still sad.
