The story is about the Indian Revolution in 1920's . Ramcharan as Alluri Sitharama Raju ,a tribal leader in Andhra Pradesh state and Jr.NTR as Komaram Bheem a tribal leader in Telangana State. They fought against the Britishers. In fact they never met in reality. This is a fictional revolutionary story by S.S. Rajamouli between the two tribal leaders who fought against the British empire.

Well explained bro..a small correctiob, Komaram Bheem didn't fought with Britishers but he fought against cruel Nizam rule. Telangana was never ruled by British and is ruled by Nizam even after 1947 independence.

Also sitharam Raju (Ram charan) was influenced by Gandhi in his first few years. He will be shown as biritsh officer initially. That's why we can see in him as police officer. But later he taken role of leader and apply guerilla warfare against British in forest areas. Komram bhim (NTR) was tribal leader of Telangana state. He fought against cruelty of Nizam of Hyderabad. In real life they never met but SS rajamouli is bringing them together in fictional tell.

It's not based on Hindu mythology, it's a fictitious story based on 2 real life freedom fighters from the British rule era. Although the long hair bow and arrow look of Ram Charan does resemble a lot with Lord Ram from Ramayan

Not mythology it's based on two freedom fighters ALLURI SITARAMA RAJU(Ram Charan) and KOMARAM BHEEM (NTR) actually they were not seen for some time and after they were back to their places they revolt against British rulers in the same way same strategies almost. So the director says what if they met in between ( that is unknown in history where they went what they did ) so they fictionally made a story of that

I really wish someone makes a more sensible version of Mahabharat as a movie or series. My lord, it is a freaking science fiction epic. What can u not find there. Space shuttles, time travel, nuclear weapons everything. I really wish it doesn't fall into the hands of over the top, crappy directors.

Just an FYI. Jr NTR is known as 'Young Tiger" (Telugu stars all have nicknames) so the shot of him with the Tiger was Rajamouli gifting his fans. Most of Tarak's movies have image or dialog referencing tigers. If you search a little you will see crowd reactions go even more wild at that part. There are lots of videos already floating around of the crowd reactions in the theaters.

I think Ramcharan is appointed to catch NTr by British government who raised war against British and initially Ramcharan might be working for the British but later when they both meet eachother then they both might join hands and fight against British. There is no mix of Hindu mythology here. Charan dress in the last fight scenes is the attire of Alluri Sitaramaraju. The bow and arrow were used as armour in his days. Dont get confused witn Lord Vishnu or Shiva or other Hindu Gods

Rajamouli through out his movies (since the first one until this one) has been following one mantra without fail, which is the villian should/has to be very powerful and a badass, only then the audience will enjoy the hero kicking the villian's ass! You'd hence see the British guy, catching a gun mid-air, to basically show his Power and so that he is just not another normal Villian !

Telugu films are HUGE (even smaller films end up doing 1 million atleast) in the US considering the big number of Telugu diaspora in the country . this will be available in an imax screen

The action pieces might be over the top but that’s hardly any different to a Marvel movie or a Dhoom film ( I mean Captain America trying to stop a helicopter with one arm or a bike that suddenly becomes a ski jet? Come on!). It looks like it’s gonna be a blockbuster

@@TheKing-cm4uo Hollywood clearly explains a tight story on why things happen and not just have their audience suspend all belief in the world it sets up. Hopefully the script is tight to explain the super human abilities but I highly doubt it. It will be another sahoo type debacle

That motorcycle flip scene has lot of logic It is Royal Enfield-flying flea only 55 kg used in world war 2 it is so light weight that british soldiers can carry it on their head So their is lots of logic in it
