People would like to think themselves as a normal person but the reality is different. Some people wouldn't have questioned the discount, some people would have asked and then say nothing after the guy mentions Emo's. As much as people would like to think of others as good and honest, there are many people who are not.

Chicken Everland This had nothing to do with the burgers. Given how the cashier was giving Geoff discounts, he probably was paying for whatever was taken out of the discounts. In other words, that guy had wasted a ton of cash over the course of those 3 months.

Twice a week for three months is roughly 26 times to the bar. Four burgers each time. Twelve dollars per burger. That's 1248 dollars in food. And the guy was giving about a 70 to 80% discount... So that's between 900 and 1000 dollars in free food. wtf

I think what saved Geoff is the fact he never lied to the guy. I’m sure he was thinking about doing something because he’s embarrassed but he just assumed he knew who he was, he never asked who Geoff was and he never tried claiming to be someone else even when he was given plenty of opportunity to play along
