It will be interesting to see games like Thief, Deus Ex, Doom 3, Fear, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Bioshock use RTX Remix

@@denissmith7671 Yeah, RTX Remix primarily targets DirectX 8 and 9 games, while Bioshock Infinite is DirectX 10 to 11. Maybe we'll see more support for DirectX 10 games not too many years from now, though.

@@SyX512 I'm well over 40 and I played all the relevant games for longer than that, but I still fail to understand the cult following behind these... It's not "bad", but it's pretty trite and uninspiring - nothing to write home about. Same as The Elder Scrolls series (well, at least Daggerfall was kind of a new concept back at the time)... I'm shocked that barely anybody talks about Looking Glass and Origin games, and yet something like Half Life is considered a "masterpiece"

IMO Painkiller game back from 2004 could really use an RTX Remix touch. This game has a unique narrative, where every single level is completely different. From Cemetery in the nowhere of Poland to Amusement park, from Cathedral to Asylum, from Opera to Babylon to the literal Hell. From dark, almost horror-like experiences to colorful and bright. It has so much potential in visual enhancements!

AI don't do this , it's human only, everything there are a big scam , as usual with nvidia... those scene needs dozens or even hundreds of hours of work texture are upscale with ai yes like every texture pack you can found since 5 years at least on nexusmods

AI did literally none of that. its some Nvidia intern making those textures and new models. AI cannot make those brand new models and textures you saw, if the AI did it it would look terrible and the table for example would have 20 legs and a massive piece stretched out into the ceiling. you would know if it was AI is what i mean.

@@selectionn Are you sure about that? I remember Nvidia having a new AI painting tool that could create whole scenes with very rough sketches. These assets are pictures that are far better than rough sketches for the AI to determine what to create. So...

Games I want to see "remade" with this: F.E.A.R., Mass Effect Trilogy (original non-legendary versions), Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2005, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Assassin's Creed II, CoD Black Ops, CoD WaW, Dead Space 2 & 3, and RE4 Ultimate HD Edition (the one on Steam).

I can't wait to see all the remastered mods that old games will receive thanks to this tool. It could really help with the games that hold up well gameplay wise, but struggle in terms of graphics.

this might allow to remaster most of old late 90s early 2000s games that are still masterpieces but desperately needs texture and ray tracing update. half life 2 will be biggest treat for me

not really or yet at least, it's currently only made for DirectX9 & 8 but older games are different and it's the same with newer games due to how DirectX handles rendering, but it's still not impossible.

Tried it on Brother In Arms, still super buggy and very slow, i can't even load any mission nor capture the scene to work on Maya afterward! , only the tutorial I've worked on yet still the materials slider have tons of problems, Nvidia has to make its own Engine like Unreal , if so remaking the whole game from scratch will be much easier, which I do believe it's an easy task for them

You add in full path tracing that also has a ton of advanced effects that tax the GPU hard as well as putting some strain on the CPU

I gotta say that this hyper-detail and reflective aesthetic doesn't really work for most older games outside of horror games, like this would've pretty good on Resident Evil games, but not these ones.
