Despite being inevitable, aging is not easy to accept. As your body becomes older, it becomes more and more obvious in your face that you are aging, especially by forming wrinkles. While not harmful, wrinkles are a major cosmetic issue for many women.
At the first fear of aging, many women look to expensive cosmetics and beauty treatments to hide any signs of aging. However, these methods are not affordable and often times, they do not do as they advertise.
There are other natural and cost-effective ways to combat aging and deep wrinkles. One specific ingredient is a spice called anise, or aniseed, that is very helpful in reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Anise is a completely safe, natural and cost-effective ingredient to fight signs of aging. With our recipe, you will safe both time and money and see results.
What you need:
a handful of anise
1 cup of water
a small pot
What you do:
Start by boiling the aniseed to make some tea.
After the tea cools, strain it and store in a glass container.
Use the tea to wash your face in the morning, paying special attention to your fine lines and wrinkles. Continue to use each day and you should see your wrinkles and fine lines fade over the next few weeks. Your skin will be smooth and supple once more.
Have you ever heard of anise? If so, have you tried this method before to reduce fine lines and wrinkles? Leave a comment in our comment section to let us know.

UPDATE: I promise to give an update. I’ve been doing this for about a month and a half. I have positive results in using this as a toner. So much so that I bought the seeds again and made another batch of the toner that lasts me at least a month. It does tone my skin I have seen less wrinkles and better skin flexibility. I’m continuing to use this because it’s very inexpensive, and the toning water is just fabulous. I have not found anything(diy) that I enjoy for cleansing my face but the toner is at least a step in the right direction. My recipe actually was one spice bottle of anise seed, 1/2 gallon of water. However, I do boil the water first, turn off, put the Anise seeds in and let them steep. When it’s cooled down, i use a strainer to separate the seeds and put the water into a pitcher. Place and in my refrigerator. When I time to tone face, I just get a cup of the water, put it into the basin and use a wash towel to absorb the water and tone my face, as well as my upper chest and neck area.

I love anise, what I use it for. When steaming my carrots I place few anise seeds in steamer and the flavour comes through I then take carrots out add some honey and serve with meals. This I used in my restaurant and many customers would ask what I did to the carrots my restaurant was MIshos in Brisbane Australia.

Tania Lusic ...your recipe for carrots sounds too good!! I'm not fond of licorice taste, but I'm sure it will compliment the carrots plus a bit of honey. I make a glazed carrot recipe that you might like. Cook carrots in a little sesame oil with green onions. Add raw honey. Scrumptious! Peace, Love and Joy!

Gusher Felter Hi can you tell me how much is one handful of anise. (roughly how many pieces it is) do you need to keep the mixture in a refrigerator overnight. And also how many times do you need to wash your face with the tea before the effects of it is shown? Do you need to wash with the tea daily?

I tried the star anise tea as a facial splash every morning for the last several months. I have to be honest, I only saw about a 5 - 10% improvement as a skin tightener. It's not exactly a botox like many on you tube are claiming.

I would also recommend MSM which is organic sulfur. I have been taking 2tb spoons each day for last few years my hair is really thick and long now. Delays greying., and rids of wrinkles! My hairdresser spun out when i went after approx 4 months and talks about it constantly to clients lol. Also great for sore muscles etc . I buy in bulk as it works out to be much cheaper
