My best friend died 2.5 years ago. I brought him to a couple of your shows because I knew he would appreciate your magic. And he did. He loved you guys so much. I miss him every fucking second of every day. But I can finally listen to these songs and feel happy and remember him the way he's supposed to be remembered. I still cry. A lot. But I'm learning to accept that water must escape one way or the other. ❤

Though I have heard of Rubblebucket before, I only discovered this video recently. SO good. Dark and edgy. I can relate to the feelings and topics in this song. and alot of their songs for that matter. But i feel like im stuck on the carousel some days too.

To me... it's about, not hopping off the Carousel ride of life, but swinging around on that bitch while it's spinning. It's about accepting the motion sickness.. It's about grabbing onto your identity and letting yourself shine as a beautiful part of the Carousel that we all make up.

I love this song but I actually love the Tiny Desk Concert version via NPR. The singer's quirkiness is adorable and may be what attracted me to the band initially. However, I then realized that every single member of the band is highly talented musicians!

Total relate & think as a band u are amazing. Saw u first on Tiny Desk ages ago & that video is on my go-to Playlist for all times. Especially love Kalmia's energy/vibe as it oozes the emotions we fend off daily & turns them into Hope. Im 58yrs old & after a 15yr break im back struggling with a dark addiction due to pain relief meds (morphine) for my Back. Its a never-ending carousel ride that u Must never get comfortable with.
