She could have been anything - a heart surgeon, an astronaut, an architect. We are so lucky that she chose music (or that music chose her).

Pure, beautiful genius is Alanis. There is nothing more appealing than listening to an intelligent, intellectual, eloquent person talking.

It is mind-blowing to realize that she has the looks of a supermodel, the intellect of scientist, is that intellectual, and has that much eloquence, isn't it?

She is utterly fascinating to listen to. The way she talks, you can tell how deeply intelligent and profound she is. A true musical genius and I don’t say that lightly

Alanis' music, lyrics, and level of consciousness is beyond the comprehension of many who look to compare her to other pop musicians. The expressions in her music are sensitive, intimate, deep, intelligent, and filled with wisdom, insight and realizations.

Alanis is smart. She is brave and expresses her truths. I love hearing her story of growing up and expressing herself deeply inward. She was grand as a judge on American Idol recently. Cannot wait to buy her new album in August.

Alanis is a true Lady and, quoting the interviewer, a smart person. It must be wonderful to be able to enjoy her company and wisdom. She is far from perfect - we all are - but she had the bravery to search, to question and shout out loud all that aflicts a human being. I never thought I'd be identifying myself so much with her songs at the age of 7, but something struck me because she remains today as one of my greatest idols!
@FlorioPhoto2 жыл бұрын
Best Comments to read here are by the many women who are moved by her music and her as a person. The influence she's had on so many young women, and into their Adulthood is pretty fucking kool ...given so many young women and teenagers of today are so enthralled by the likes of Kardashian's / Jenner's which is mostly superficial bullshit. Alanis and women like her are Real.

Thank you for pointing this out. He’s incredibly empathic and smart, he really knew what to ask and how to conduct the thread of the interview. Brilliant. He mentioned “Incomplete” the last song from Flavors of Entanglement and I’m sure none of the usual interviewers or music journalists even know that song exists and what is about. They were a treat to listen to. Alanis’ sense of humor shone through the whole interview which is difficult when the interviewer doesn’t know how to respond to her energy.

Well Alanis. This is the first interview with you that I've seen. You had my "full attention" all the way through. You touched on a lot of topics I've often found myself tortuously questioning over the years. All I can say is "thank you". It's not by any means an epiphany but certainly a nudge in the right direction for me spiritually, ...a wholesome new way to view life, humanity and how I will persevere on my journey.

Oh to know oneself so well and speak about it like this in front of the world, what must that be like? Thank you for letting me see you and know that there is a possibility that I could be as good as you, because I feel I understand what you’re saying, and your music speaks to me, so I feel like I’m in the club. Although I’ve never met you, it doesn’t matter. How beautiful you are to me, you make me want to be a better person. 🌸

The more she talked so intelligently about herself the more I realised how stupid I was and understood so little about myself .
@sisterseeth Жыл бұрын
As long as you look back at your past self and cringe, it means you're growing/clarifying. May we all look back and cringe the rest of our days! We're all stupid and completely incapable of knowing the full spectrum of our potential while navigating in this body and this sensory environment. Don't be hard on yourself. The fact that you're capable of knowing that you understand so little about yourself, means that you're moving toward it right now. So many go to their graves without a single moment of self-reflection or spend every waking minute coming up with distractions to avoid it. Warmth from Kentucky.

I began watching this wishing for a happy ending for Alanis, who I remember from my youth and I found that as I had aged she remained as she had been vague lyrics
@capsuleboy4 жыл бұрын
If I was to ask a question, mine would be: I remember the Guns, Aerosmith eat the rich, I remember Silverchair videos and songs (I have 2 cds of them), all greatness of the 90s, and you of course, people loved music and artists.., all the music of the sort, Joan Osbourne - One of us, Soul Assylum Misery, Foo fighters everlong, Bjork many songs of her, Smashing Pumpkins 1979. I dont know, I could be all the day giving lists and lists. . What happened!!! why did all dissappear?? Suddenly nobody can produce anything with spirit?? Now mountains and mountains of crap and trap and reggaeton, even rock at present sounds empty.. Nobody has good taste anymore?? Not only about the music, also aestheticly, even if you watch Alice DeeJ better off alone video you have takes and costumes.. It seems in the 90s there was a spirit, a cool spirit. What happened to the spirit, to all that greatness, all that creativity?? Where did all go?? Because at present there is nothing that I feel attracted to, all I play with my guitar and music production station is music from the 90's..
