The 4WD Cliffhangers out of Vacaville CA hosted their annual "Noobicon" run on the Rubicon. This was not a plan to run the whole trail, however, just to get some people that had never been on the trail out there. Hence the name "Noobicon." This was the first time that a few of the people had been on the Rubicon, and I think I can honestly say that they were surprised at what their Jeeps were capable of doing. We left Airport Flat Campground and made our way in through Wentworth Springs. The Wentworth Springs entrance, at Gerle Creek, is the original entrance to the trail, and starts with an obstacle known as Devil’s Postpile. This was an eye opener for the "noobs," but with some good spotting, and trust in their rigs, they mad it through. We made it to the top of Walker Hill before turning around and heading out the Granite Bowl and the Loon Lake Gate Keeper.

Me 2 years ago: Fit Pro will love this music 😂 Fit Pro in 2021: OMG. The music is like pure torture. lol Honestly though, I'm starting to experiment with less music and more natural Jeep sounds. My editing style is slowly changing.

Nice job! I've done the entire trail 3 times. It definitely helps having lockers. Running the trail and staying 2 days at Buck Island and Rubicon Springs proved to make it very relaxing and gave us time to fix anything on the jeeps.

Thank you. Yeah taking a day or two to relax and make repairs if need be makes it a much more enjoyable trip. It is a very mentally and physically taxing trail.

Man, I remember my first run through the Rubicon. Ohh the pucker factor was high lol

I ran the whole trail last year and the pucker factor was high. This was a new entrance for me, but the pucker factor is still there. Im a little more confident in my ability, as well as my rig, but I don't think the pucker factor will ever go away completely. Thats what keeps it fun.

Did you say there is a bypass for the entire devils post pile? looking to do this with some snow on it so would definitely take a bypass here if there was. thank you

The top half had a bypass, but the bottom half didn’t. I personally thought the bottom half was the more divulged section as well.
