I believe you have hit the nail on the head Syed my friend. Plus there are add ons coming out now in Sth Africa and by ARB (surely more companies to follow), That will just make the Jimny even better. Plus there's a company that wants to help make it look like a mina G wagon. Just wait until some of those Japanese companies that enhance vehicle looks and performance get involved. None of these improvements would be nearly as good if the basic design was not good. Straight out of the box with standard tyres, it's a very capable little 4x4 with real appeal.

and this is why automatic is BEST for offroading ..no need to worry about burning clutch as you creep slowly over difficult inclines with control ..automatic is PERFECT for slow situations..manual is great for speed mostly but worse for incline situations

Yeah I figured that really lol. Giving directions, stop it tipping etc. Not sure what he thought he'd be able to do should the truck roll backwards though 🤪. Think the Jimny would have managed fine without him in all honesty.

Suzuki really nailed it with the Jimny. It's worth considering for everyone who loves the classic LR Defender but is tired or scared of its shortcomings (basically the need to constantly repair or mod it).

I don't know why Suzuki does not provide a premium version of the Jimny with rear and front differential lockers. It would become an unstoppable mountain goat--with no need for pushing!

El Jeep Rubicón tiene de serie bloqueo en los diferenciales y el Suzuki Jimny no. El bloqueo, ante pérdidas de motricidad de ruedas que no se solucionan sólo engranado la reductora, permite que las dos ruedas de un mismo eje motriz se muevan a la par, como un eje rígido, de tal manera que si una rueda entra en un agujero con barro que no le permite traccionar, con la otra rueda traccionando, sí podríamos avanzar con el vehículo. Éso es una gran diferencia y se ha notado perfectamente en el vídeo. El Jimny tenía pérdidas de motricidad en los cambios de puentes. En el mismo eje una rueda que se queda colgando casi pierde motricidad patinando y, la opuesta, se quede parada sin traccionar. En el Rubicón, conectando el bloqueo del diferencial, las dos ruedas giran a la vez, no perdiendo tracción, no patinan, por eso avanza con mucha más seguridad de superar el obstáculo, que ese avance se pueda hacer a baja velocidad (permite reaccionar con más tiempo a imprevistos o peligros) y, permite no forzar transmisiones, embrague....

Those arent lockers....is that a form of limited slip or brake lock diffs front and rear? They look like they took a second to engage for opposite wheels. It probably didnt need any pushes. Still damned impressive a budget vehicle even with mods can take a hill like that at all. That Rubi is a 60k plus vehicle. The Jimney with mods I would guess would be 30k after mods.

Suzuki AllGrip. Basically, the computer detecting wheel spin and locking the brakes on the errant wheel.

Its electric diff that's why it takes a little while to interact, but the Jimny with mods is nowhere near 30k unless you go for totally changed suspension and ride height plus custom tires and integrated steel front etc. This one looks pretty stock except larger tires and maybe changed springs.

The traction control leaves alot to be desired, it really needs lockers. Sometimes mine just sits spinning diagonals for several seconds before it kicks in a brake.

El tío empujando el jimny debe ser retrasado. Y la otra conduciendo a golpes de embrague no llegará muy lejos... Sería mas fácil ir con walkies dando instrucciones desde un sitio seguro, y que ella una vez suelto el embrague continuase avanzando sin pararse cada pocos centímetros.
