I was the same way. I was trying to do everything and I ended up losing the bigger picture of what I should have been doing...so now my delves all look pathetic compared to where they SHOULD be considering how much of this game I've played.

The best ways to get souls in the early game are pretty hard admittedly, but you CAN do the first tier of kingdom challenges, which will net you a decent chunk of souls for completing them. Mainly what you want to try and do is use your souls only on troops that you think are going to be very useful to you if at all possible. It's very tempting to just level up whatever you've got access to and try and experiment, but in the early game souls are so precious that you'd be best served by really really making sure you're not just spending them on whatever catches your eye. Once you get access to The Dragon Soul (legendary troop), I'd recommend building teams around him as much as possible to be getting a bunch of souls passively by just playing the game. Doing your delves also helps, as you get chunks of souls for completing those, and always keep your eye on the adventure board!

Are you spending your souls on leveling up your troops? One of the first people you should level up is your hero class. Get the Warlord class by completing the questline in the Broken Spire (or whatever class you may have unlocked that you like) and level them up with souls as high as you can, and put them at the top of your lineup. Skull damage is super super powerful in the early game!

I didn't get my first mythic until around lv 700. It's all luck based. The easiest ways to try for a mythic is saving event keys until the kingdom of your desired mythic comes around or crafting them from soulforge. I have not found a big difference in saving glory and gems keys vs spending them when earning them but again it's all luck.

You do, but between the glory you’ll get from the adventure board, delving and getting PVP up to tier 1 every week (never mind faction assaults and vault keys and glory gnomes) you should basically never need to worry about it.

You do. This video isn’t meant to be taken 100% literally in the sense that you ONLY do what I’m talking about in each section (I don’t mention faction assaults or pet rescues or bounties or anything like that). Rather it’s spelling out the primary goals for each group. Also: to get to power level 5 you can train the common troops in that kingdom which take considerably less resources to do than legendaries or epics. To just hit power level 5, it’s worth it! Apologies the tone of the video makes it seem like it’s LITERALLY all I’m saying you need to do 😁

@@Keylime Also, I forgot to ask something. As a late beginner, I found your most valuable troops, weapons and teams videos usefull. Can you do a beginners delve video. I know you have one explaning delves, but I want if you start right now, which delve would be better to start, upgrade and Grind daily. With starting teams, etc. With new delves introduced, everyone says someting.

To meet that requirement, just remember that unlocking 3 traits on a common troop requires very very little. You don't have to unlock the traits on 4 GOOD troops, just 4 troops of any kind in that kingdom. That all being said, you'll definitely want to be dipping into the explore mode to grab your traitstones whenever you need any. As far as teams you could be using for explore mode: - Cedric / Egg Thief / Skeleton Key (weapon) / Greed - Shield of Urskaya (weapon) / Harpy Mage / Rowanne / Leprechaun Both of those teams are fairly easy to make, and can really easily beat much higher levels in explore regardless of your troop levels or stats. The Shield team specifically I use to farm level 12, and my girlfriend who's much lower level than I am uses the same team to farm level 12.

Try joining a good clan because each week gives a lot of bonuses...and orbs...orbs of wisdom but don't waste em on crappy troops. But u can start upgrading then

In the early game there's a handful of troops you can use that are really high impact that you get for completing the quest rewards for certain kingdoms: - Rowanne from Forest of Thorns (damage to everyone on their team, boosted by his armor) - Elwyn from Pan's Vale (damage to a single target with a really high boost) - Azura from Merlantis (explodes the board and reduces the stats on all enemies) Build teams that any (or all?!) of these three in the early game will do really well to help you through. It's hard to make teams for that early in the game since the number of troops you have is very random and small, but "damage to all" troops are incredibly strong in the early game.

I know this was a month ago, but if you still need troop help. There's a few pretty common troops and pieces that can make a really powerful lineup early. Golden Cog weapon from 8 Air mastery doubles a troop's armor. Clockwork Sphinx clears all of one color gem and increases team armor boosted by gems removed, great mana generator, can loop herself, and boosts armor. Rowanne deals 2x her armor scatter damage, which you build with the sphinx and cog. Last spot goes to any mana generator you like. I used Alchemist for yellow first, then Valkyrie for blue and souls. Now I've got the team the way I want, which is the Dark Troll, who doubles the purple on the board, which usually results in an extra turn, a charge of Sphinx, and enough purples for Sphinx to loop. This team allowed me to beat the whole story and I can beat the 9600 power dailies with it, as a super new player.

You’re an awesome person, Zaku, that’s what you are. 😎 In all reality, it comes down to whether or not all your kingdoms are already level 10+ and power level 5+ or not. Dawnbringer is a cool thing to get, but it’s not really needed in any major way to advance in the game. I’d lump DB into the end-gamer group.

Unfortunately Undine is more of a Guild Wars defensive troop for his silence than an attack troop. His damage output isn’t all that exciting, but when you can run him on defense on guild wars on blue day and get a silence off, the entire enemy team is just standing there crying as the rest of your team makes short work of them.

The gem offer is only 50 a day, so 350 total a week. Still slows down your gem economy a bit, but not to the point that you can’t gain substantially more anyways throughout the week. If not everyday, definitely make sure you do it every Sunday where the rewards are substantially higher!

@@Keylime omg, you did indeed specify the Gem Bounty for 50 and not the Daily Deal for 150. Derp, this is what I get for trying to watch this while catching up on a bunch of spent Delves, lol. Great video as usual btw! My husband overheard it and doesn't really know anything about GoW so when you were in full on drill instructor drill down mode at points he was like "*what* are you watching?" :D (I love that Sunday gem purchase, feels so decadent!)

I have my beginner's guide video which is specifically designed to really go into detail about what every mode is, why they're important and how to do them. This video is more meant to talk about the broader goals everyone should be working towards. To your point though, I could have added a card at some point in there to link to my beginner's guide directly to help people who wanted to learn the more specific details of what each mode is.

Unfortunately not that kind of game. The developers intentionally keep moving the goalposts so there’s always something to chase. When you get to the endgame though (having all the troops and stat bonuses) you can basically say you’ve “beat it” if you wanted, however.

I’d say 70 hours is dramatically too low. To get all the troops and unlock everything and get them all maxed...it would take 1000’s of hours easy. It’s very much a perpetual card collector/RPG game.

My typing ruins things in videos constantly...and I have no idea why because I generally type quickly and accurately...yet EVERY video this happens, lol.
