I was so skeptical about this being another series like After or Beautiful Disaster, but despite this being a “cliché” story, it absolutely had me entranced. The way they look at each other is magnetic and it actually feels like they want to know each other (love a slow burn). Hopefully they renew it for a second season!

LOVED season 1. Their acting is impeccable and their chemistry off the charts. literally every time she cried, i cried. haven’t had that in a long time with a show.

The car scene (after the pool incident) is one of my favorite moments. She opens up her feelings to him. He realizes how deep his feelings are for her.

I love that you can pinpoint the moment he truly fell in love with her on the field. I expected this series to be stupid tbh and omg it wasn’t at all. So real, I love how he looks at her, their story, slow burn, and the overall message that you have to follow your dreams even if the people around you don’t like it

I recently graduated from Oxford and it makes watching so many things so hard lol. That montage after they slept together made me want to cry hahah, just watching them together walk down a street I walked down a thousand times with a boy I loved desperately...the nostalgia is so intense I can't stand it. Two of those windows in that frame used to be MY windows. I used to run home over that bridge, tripping over the flagstones in the lamplight. We used to sing in the middle of that street. Even fucking Saltburn made me feel physical pain in my chest lol, like wtf is Jacob Elordi doing standing next to my favourite tree stump? The same tree stump I once slumped down on after staggering out of a party at midnight drunk on delirium and moonlight? I love every brick in that city so much, and every damn thing I decide to watch just rips my heart out by showing me my old home again and again and again. I love it and I hate it. They all literally make me cry. I can't stand the nostalgia. I miss it so much. I miss the people I loved, the person I was, the life I lived. And I'm literally perfectly content (mostly) with my life right now, like it's going good, but nothing can ever compare to the pure euphoria and melodrama and absolute distilled romance that was those four years in that place. It was like living in a permanent golden hour, just beautiful and tragic and fleeting - from the very first day we knew we were running out of time - it was a constant crashing countdown and we didn't sleep for fear of missing a moment. The worst part is that none of these movies or shows even exaggerate it. I didn't romanticise my life. It just literally was like that. Little old me, from the most grey and prosaic of industrial towns, thrown into the most bewildering colourful novel and then taken right out of it again. It's its own heartbreak.

I hope there will be a season 2. I loved every episode of season 1

Season one broke me! Poor James got a few short hours of happiness and then did not go in when he got to Ruby's home after he saw how happy she was. I wish I could read the books, I need to know how much of the self destruct button he presses.

I finished it today and also I started watching it today as well😂. It's really good, very angsty and very cliched but still way better than the After series.

I wanted to watch it in the original version but I can't find a website where it works. Other than that I really like it, I thought it would be an other serie with a wattpad kind of story (I like that type of story but I wanted to try something different) but even if it's "cliché" in some ways I find it great ! the performances are also amazing !

my dad told the guy I loved to never see me again he moved to another school I kept texting him and he wouldn't tell me what happened or why he just left after a year he came to my house while my dad was on a trip with my mom and he told me what happened he stayed at my house till they came back and we talked about it when my dad seen him he got aggressive towards him and keeped telling him to leave or he would get a restraining order towards him then my dad beat him he beat the shit out of him I kicked him in the head and knocked him out my bf was on the ground he had blood all over him and his face was all swollen and he had a knife in his chest he almost died that day and my dad when he woke up I asked him why he told him to never see me again all he said was he doesn't deserve you that was the last time I seen him I went to go live with my bf I go see my mother every 2 weeks and my dads in jail for 10 years
