Well one thing, most Fabrication shops are working on multiple things at a time. They also want to justify the cost. If they churned it out in 4 hours, you'd be like I'm not paying $3500!. Also, this could have been over 2 or 3 days, that's the magic of video editing. Not to day he couldn't do it in a day, he's highly skilled, has all the equipment and supplies he needs on hand so it is possible. He's definitely worth whatever they're paying him and he will make a killing when he opens his own fabrication shop (which you know he's eventually going to do, I believe he took the Cleetus job both for the experience and also for the exposure he's going to get. Very smart move to invest a few years here showing what he can do, getting his name out there and then using the exposure from the millions of subscribers to hit the ground running when he opens a shop. I guarantee as soon as he opens, within a couple weeks he will be booked out for the next 3 months straight.

It seems as though most video's that are time lapse do an injustice to the builder. To watch a master craftsman build in time lapse is both facinating and a disservice to the art of fabrication. I am blessed at my age to be able to build on my never ending project. My wife wants me to finish that old truck. The process is the end game for me not the finish line. When my wife watches your time lapse she is ignorant of the passage of time her opinion is a cage takes possibly 6 hours! Tools are the most important part of fabrication to the point that production relies on the tools. Skills are the artestry Ty brings to the project DESIGN and FABRICATION is art.

People have reliably pulled 900's on a stock bottom end. A daring few have pushed it further than that stock, but all of them had immediate intentions of upgrading internals so they weren't concerned with longevity, just initial numbers. Wouldn't last long at those levels.
