In our local group pulls, all money goes in. Everyone uses their own cards and gets so many pulls each. All won money is put together and split at the end. That way everyone gets a turn at playing the machines.

Technically there are taxes, even under the hand pay amount. You need to report all winning as taxable income, but you can deduct your losses!

Well, at least everyone got $25 free play. Vegas Matt did a $75,000 group pull and kept his card in getting all the free play and free room bc the computer reads it as a high roller.

I would imagine it has to do with the comps they'll receive, for spending $7,000 in the casino. If people used their own cards and spun their own turn...technically they didn't spend the money themselves.

You should have kept on the 10 cent denom on your turn. Switching to $1 denom for your turn was bull shit for the other players and the group pull. Sucking wins too. Do It right next time or just stop playing slots because you are starting to suck at it.
